Five CAS Style Cards

Hi Folks :)
Happy Monday Morning !

Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here. Hope you are doing well.

Friends, have you checked out the awesome new April release by Mudra ? There are tons of beautiful designs to choose from. To see the stunning new stamps, please click HERE and to view the gorgeous new Chipzeb Chipboard designs, please click HERE

For today's post, I've created 5 Clean and Simple (CAS) Style Cards. The aim was to maintain a lot of white space, have minimal embellishments and one main focal point.

While making the cards, I used Mudra's beautiful Chipzeb Chipboards. One of the great things about them is that they are whitish-cream in color, so you can color over them with markers or paint etc (like I did here in card 5) and the color shows up vibrant, even without prepping them with gesso. Additionally, elements from the new Shaker Chipzebs (besides being used as shakers) can also be used as embellishments, like I did here in card 4.

Floral Card 1: Sending Hugs

Process:

1. Stamped the beautiful floral spray from the Mudra Magnolia Stamp onto a scalloped stitched panel of watercolor paper using Versafine Onyx Black ink
2. Did Watercoloring using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
3. Created Black Ink Splatter
4. Heat embossed the sentiment (in white) from the Mudra Dainty Blooms II stamp onto a strip of black cardstock and foam mounted it on the panel
5. Foam mounted the scalloped, stitched panel onto an A2 sized white cardbase
6. Added a few highlights with a white gel pen

3. Created stitched rectangular die cut mats. Adhered the first mat with 3d foam tape for added dimension, then adhered these to the A2 sized white card base.
