Mudra Craft Stamps: Artsy Techniques with Stamping

Hi! Nandini here wishing you a great week ahead. Our June release went live couple of days ago. I am so excited about all the new goodies. I hope you are too!

I am going to give you some fresh inspiration for our current challenge. Use your Mudra stamps and stencils and also try something new. I tried some new techniques and love the results!

Card 1:
I used the wet-on-wet stamping technique with markers for this card. I also used some sparkly embossing powder to add extra definition. Unfortunately, the sparkle is not visible in the photos.

Take some watercolour paper and die cut a panel.
Arrange the floral cluster from the Magnolia stamp set over the panel in your stamp positioner.
Use markers or brush pens to apply colour to the stamp. You can also use mini ink cubes for this.
Spray the paper lightly with water and stamp. Leave the stamp in place for a few minutes.
You can also take a second impression with the same setup on a second panel.
If you want a looser look, spray more water on the panel and let it dry completely.
Put the panel back in the stamp positioner and stamp with embossing ink. Heat emboss with sparkly embossing powder.
Stamp the sentiment from the Carnations stamp set with black ink.
Mount the ready panel with foam tape on a black card base.
Add some clear couture sequins to finish.

Card 2:
I love techniques which give me more than one card. I took a second impression with the inked stamp and got a much lighter look.

Take the panel with the second impression and spray more water to let the colour spread a bit more. Let it dry completely.
Put the panel back in the stamp positioner and stamp with embossing ink. Heat emboss with clear embossing powder. This will define the stamping a bit more without adding any additional colour.
Die cut a rectangle from the watercolour panel and stamp the sentiment from the Critter Party stamp set with black ink at the top.
Adhere the panel to a black card base. Mount the smaller die cut panel with foam tape.
Add some clear couture sequins to finish.

Card 3:

The final technique is an old one. But I have never really been able to get it right. I decided to give it one more try and it worked! I quite like it.

Take a cream cardstock and die cut a panel.
Stamp the images from the Leafy and Ferns and Leaves stamp sets with different inks, keeping the stamping towards the lower half of the panel.
Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Floral stamp set with black ink.
Mount the panel on a chocolate brown card base with foam tape.
Add a few clear couture creations sequins to finish.
