Trio of Vintage Mixed Media Cards

For today's post, I've made a Trio of Vintage Mixed Media Cards. I've used Mudra's gorgeous Stamps, Stencils, Chipzebs, Decor Stones & Mai Premium Dye Inkpads here. Let's start. 

Trio of Vintage Mixed Media Cards

Card 1: Brave

Card 2: Beautiful Day 

Card 3: Hello Friend

Process:

1. Cut water colour paper into 3 panels, added washi tapes to start building the backgrounds and then applied clear gesso over top to prepare the surface for mixed media work

2. Applied black texture paste through Mudra Stencils- (Deco Pattern Stencil, Memory Dots Stencil and Floral Splash Stencil) onto the backgrounds of each of the 3 panels

3. Added colours to each of the 3 panels by using Lindy's Gang Sprays and  Lindy's Starburst Squirts. 

4. Stamped the background using Mudra Premium Dye Inkpads- (Cocoa Brown & Jet Black Inkpads) and Mudra Stamps- Checker, Swing Girl, Retirement, Hexa, Go Confident and Geometric Stories).

5. Distressed the edges of the panels with distress inks and also lightly distressed the patterned central portions of each panel with distress inks to  create a vintage look

6. Adhered Mudra Chipzebs-(Leaves #2 Chipzeb, Indian Ornate Mandala Chipzeb, Dream Catcher Chipzeb), metal charms, word stickers to each of the three panels.

7. For additional texture, used soft matte gel to adhere Mudra Decor Stones- Mini & Micro to each of the 3 panels and sprinkled over some glitter for some shine.

8. Created ink splatter and also white splatter using watered down white gesso

9. Matted the 3 panels and then adhered these to white card bases.
