Floral Layered and Stenciled Cards

Hello there!

This is Zalak A Mandal from The Card Shop Studio, today I am sharing three Layering Project with one Stencil i.e. Peony Stencil.

Let's Start.

1. Trace & Colour

  • I started tracing the stencil on a watercolor CS with micron pigment liner pen.
  • Once the tracing done, I colored the peonies and leaves with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencil.
  • Once I am done with coloring, I grab my white uni-ball pen and applied some white dots over peony flower and leaves. Same way I have applied some black dots outside with black micron pen.
  • Then I have die-cut "Hello" word from the colored peony stencil and also die-cut same word 5 times from black CS, just to give little bit dimension.
  • After die-cutting word, I have stack them one another above and adhered colored peony stencil at the top.
  • Then I have adhered the watercolor panel on a landscape top fold base and also adhered the die-cut word.
  • To complete my card, I have adhered some jewels.

2. Silhouette background using Stencil

  • I started with masking the area with masking sheet on top and bottom.
  • Then I start blending Distress Oxide Inks ( Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron).
  • Before Creating silhouette image, I dried the background with heat tool ( As I don't want my background start merging with the silhouette image).
  • Once the background is fully dried, I placed the "Peony Stencil" and start blending it heavily with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink.
  • Removed the stencil and immediately applied the Clear Embossing Powder over the stencil area. Heat Set it with heat tool.
  • Now then I die-cut "Thanks" word same way as per the above card.
  • To complete my card, I have adhered some blue and green jewels.

3. Blending + Fussy Cutting

  • I started blending both Peony Flower separately by masking the flowers one by one with Distress Oxides.
  • Same way I have masked the both the flowers and then blend the leaves with Distress Oxide.
  • Then I fussy cut both the flower and leaves.
  • Then I adhered a white panel on a landscape top folding base and create some dots using black color with splatter technique.
  • I then creating the card using all the fussy cut images, first I adhered two peonies using foam tape and then leaves all around using glue.
  • Also adhered some white thread below peony flowers.
  • To complete my card, I stamped sentiment and adhered them on a card along with some colored jewels.

That's all for today, I hope I have inspired you to create this cards. Share your creation by linking up in our challenge 25.
