Cute Projects: Mixed Media Layout & CAS cards

Hi folks!
Good Morning :)

Preeti Datta (aka Dutt Preety) here. Hope you've had a pleasant week :)

For today's post, I've prepared Three Cute Projects, one Mixed Media Layout and 2 Clean & Simple (CAS) cards. I've used Mudra's beautiful stamps, stencils, chipzebs, sequins & pattern papers. There is a pictorial with the step-by-step process used for the mixed media layout as well. So let's start :)

1. Mixed Media Layout- Baby Girl

Pictorial (with step-by-step process):

Step 1: Used Canson Watercolor Paper as the base, distressed it's edges and adhered it to a black chipboard, 12 by 12 inches in size (for strength). Then added colors and splatters to the background using various watercolors

Step 2: For the layering, created mats using pattern papers from Mudra's Beary Hugs Paper pack, distressed & darkened their edges. Also, fussy cut few cute bear images.

Step 3: Did background stenciling using archival & distress inks and Mudra's Stencils: Falling Hearts, Falling Stars, Floral Mini 5 & Memory Dots Stencils.

Step 4: Started layering the elements, used 3d foam tape and chipboard pieces in between some of the elements for added dimension. Used gauze, threads, twines for extra texture and to create a sense of movement.

Step 5: Collected a few of Mudra's beautiful chipzebs for layering (matching the baby girl theme) and colored some using distress inks. Used Mudra's Chipzebs- Teddy Bear, Spring Floral, Baby Girl, Baby Liner, Balloon Mini Shaker & Mini Hearts.

Step 6: Did background stamping using archival and dye inks & Mudra stamps- Old Macdonald, Stay Magical & Polka Dots.

Step 7: Adhered the layers down. For added shine, adhered Mudra Couture Sequins: Sugar Plum Mix & Harvest Mix using Glossy Accents. In the end, created splatters using watered down white and black gesso.

2. Clean & Simple Card- Hello Sunshine

Process:

1. Die cut 3 circles using white cardstock, lightly blended yellow hues of distress inks onto the edges of the circles.
2. Stamped the cute money images onto the circles using Mudra's 5 Little Monkeys Stamp & Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Adhered these to the A2 sized white card base.
3. Stamped the sentiment from Mudra's Hello Sunshine Stamp onto the card base, drew on scribbly black lines to emphasize the sentiment and added 3 enamel dots to finish the card.

3. CAS One Layer Card- Bright & Happy Day

Process:

1. Used the negative of a circular mask to blend pink, blue and yellow distress oxides onto an A2 sized white card base. Splattered on water in some places & dabbed it off to create the look of oxidization on the colored circles.
2. Stamped on the cute animal images using Mudra's Old Macdonald stamp & Versafine Onyx Black ink. And then stamped on the sentiment using Mudra's Hello Sunshine Stamp.
3. For some sparkle, adhered on a few sparkly silver sequins using Mudra's Couture Sequins Harvest Mix.
4. In the end, drew on a scribbly, zig-zag, stitching border with a fine black pen.
