Thirdly, we have an interesting new challenge, Mudra's Challenge 22, where the theme is "Stamps, Stencils & Something New", "Something new" refers to anything from techniques, tools, or embellishments.

To create my inspiration for the challenge, I decided to try something new which is to make coordinating sets of cards, envelopes and gift tags. The idea behind this was that when gifting someone on their birthday or some joyous occasion, it is nice to have a handmade card with a decorated envelope and attach a little tag to the gift as well, it is sweet and thoughtful. Besides this, the other new embellishments on my projects are the beautiful new Chipzeb chipboards & Nuvo Glitter Drops.

So let's get started.

1. Cute Blue Set

Blue Card: All You Need is Faith, Trust & a Little Pixie Dust

Blue Envelope: Fairytale Wishes & Magical Kisses

Blue Tag: You Are Magical

2. Cute Pink Set

Pink Card: Create Your Own Sunshine

Pink Envelope: Bunny Wishes

Pink Tag: Hi

3. Cute Green Set

Green Card: Tiny & Mighty Prince

Green Envelope: You Are Super Awesome

Green Tag: Happy Birthday

Process:

1. Took three A2 sized (4.25 by 5.5 inches) white card bases, prepared white envelopes to fit the A2 sized cards & also die cut scalloped white circles for the gift tags, punched holes in them and affixed silver eyelets in them

2. Created soft backgrounds for all 9 pieces by lightly sponging on distress oxides in blue, pink and green colors through Mudra Stencils- Geo Pattern, Leafy Pattern & Doodle Cluster

3. Fussy cut cute images and few Journalling cards from Mudra's Beary Hugs Paper Pack & darkened their edges with distress ink to give better definition

4. Adhered the Journalling cards & fussy cut images (used foam tape in some cases to create dimension). Then chose elements for combining & layering in each set and accordingly did stamping using black and grey archival inks using the apt Mudra Stamps- Stay Magical, Super Girl, Floral Banner, Fairytale Wishes & Playful Bunnies

5. According to the theme of the set, added the apt Mudra Chipzeb chipboards- Alphas, Beautiful Butterflies, Fairytales, Lollipop Shaker, Mini Roses, Prince/Princess, Rainbow Shaker & Words #1

6. Lightly colored some of the images with distress oxides, for embellishment & shine, added Mudra Couture Sequins- Yellow, Harvest Mix & Clear &  adhered them with glossy accents.

7. In the end, added a few Nuvo Glitter Drops & added ribbons to the tags.
