This month is all about textures and flowers.

Envelope Mini

There are so many ways you can create texture and use florals with Mudra products.  I created these easy kraft flower using the Gardenia die.  Which is available in 2 sizes. Great way to create a variety of florals with these versatile dies.
  • For my first project I created an envelope mini by taking two kraft envelopes and adhered them together. You will take the flaps from one of the envelope "1" and slide it into the inside of envelope "2".  Apply some glue to ensure it doesn't come apart.
  • Then you will cover with your chosen patterned paper by cutting each to 5.25 x 5.25
  • Next you will take the remaining flap from envie 1 and adhere it to the mini front but you will apply the glue only to the outer edge of the envelope flap so it will then create a pocket.
  • Now adhere your Mudra Leafy Swirls chipzeb to the front along with the "Adore" sentiment from your Floral Frames set to finish the overall look.  You can apply color to the chipzeb but I chose to leave it bare because I love the natural look which blends with almost any patterned paper due to it being such a versatile color.
  • To make the kraft flowers you will use your Gardenia dies and diecut a total of 2 large and 6 smaller gardenias to make the flower clusters.
  • To give the flowers color I used distress ink in peeled paint to ink the outer edge and centers of each bloom.  Once done adhere to one another staggered to give them a fuller look.
  • I then covered the larger tag from the Simple Tags chipzeb set to place inside the front pocket on the envelope mini

Watercolor Bouquet

  • For my next project I created some floral fun using watercolors and Flower Bunch stamp set.
  • I first stamped the image onto some watercolor paper using a hybrid ink in black which works well for watercolors
  • I then colored he image using Zig Clean Color pens.  I went for a fun bright look to bring these newly bloomed flowers to live.
Floral & Textures
  • For my third project I created this piece with papers from the Beary Hugs collection to go along with our challenge.  I added some texture my stamping with Rustic Diamond stamp using distress ink and a touch of texture paste
  •  I added the frames chipzeb as the main background piece for the flower arrangement and used the sentiment with Tiny Tags along the top of my card.  I love these tag sentiments because it is so hard to find tiny sentiments for those small places and these are just perfect

  • I made these flowers with foamiran and the Gardenia dies and touched it up with some chipzeb leaves and sprinkled some shimmer glass for some added texture.  Now on to my final project for today. Last but not least......
Simple Fun

  • To close my day off I am sharing this easy birthday card using your Beary Hugs collection.  This set is amazing because you get pieces you can diecut from the sheet of patterned paper.  The paper has such a nice thickness to it there is no need to adhere the diecut pieces to another sheet of paper for ear of it bending.
  • So simply fussy cut one of the bears and adhere it to your card front and you can literally make 5 to 10 cards from just one of the sheets of paper.
Hope everyone enjoyed my post and thanks for stopping by...
