Stencilling and Alcohol Inks

Hi there - it's Linda here today. I hope you're having a good start to the week. Today I'm playing with the gorgeous Indian Ornate Mandala Stencil and Alcohol Inks.

I think this is such a beautiful, detailed stencil...

If you would like to see how I removed the Alcohol Ink with the stencil please enjoy my video below or in HD on the Mudra YouTube Channel -

Supplies:

For my second card today I have used the Birthday Stamp Set for a clean card design -

  • Using a rainbow of ink colours, stamp the candle from the 'Birthday' set along the bottom of a piece cut to the same size as your card front - alter the distance from the bottom and the angle of the candle each time as you see on my card.
  • Cut through the stamped candles with your paper trimmer approximately 3.5 cm up from the bottom edge.
  • Lay these pieces out on your card front leaving a gap for your sentiment to go and cut off the extra cardstock from the top portion.
  • Ink up the little banner in the set with a few of the ink colours and stamp across the top left corner of this card front piece.
  • The two stamped pieces are then adhered with craft foam for dimension and the sentiment is stamped in the cavity between the two.

We look forward to seeing your entry in this month's Mudra Challenge

  1. Lovely Alcohol Lift card Linda. Thanks for showing how it is done and beautifully. Great idea to have the birthday sentiment between those colourful candles. Love the layout. You really do like those rainbow colours!
