Mudra Craft Stamps: Love theme scrap board Layouts

I am Sharada Dilip here today to share some inspirations for this months Love is in the Air Challenge. I'm sharing 2 Canvas Scrap boards with the Love Theme but making sure I'm not using the usual Valentine colours !!

I have created these 2 lovely 8x6 canvas board creations to document a travel journey of a couple. The themes are according to the city of they traveled. I have always been wanting to make something like this that could go on the wall... The photos are collages and working around it was so much fun!!

For me working with a photograph inspires or leads my creation while I'm scrapbooking or documenting, I choose a picture or a collage and print it out first. That step helps me start with the basic design in my mind. As I start working with it changes do happen but the flow in the design takes place.

The first creation is a trip to Goa , and all I could think of was Sun sand and Sea. I choose to with the blues and shades of blue as this was going to be gifted to a Man and Blue would be appealing.

I have used the dream catcher chipzeb and coloured it in shades of blue and pink . The Sea theme chipzeb is a perfect fit for this creation isn't it !!

Coming to the second creation , This one depicts the trip to Darjeeling , mountains - waterfalls and scenic beauty. I have given a blend of colours here from blue , purple , green and browns.

For this design and colours I have taken the clue from the photo and worked on it blending them together. I am happy with the result I have achieved .I have used the Indian mandala design chipzeb as the base and worked up my layout on it , paying attention each little detail.

I have made random use of Memory Dots Stencil here and created textures along with that I have used the fence ring chipzeb.

These scrapboards are with pine backing that helps them go directly on the wall or can be framed and displayed on the wall. I always have a thing for these chipzebs and totally dig working with them let me know how you liked my creations using them !!
