A mixed bag of projects!

G'day everyone, Gayatri with you today sharing a mixed bag of projects using some new release products and some from older releases. So there is a Christmas card, a New Year card and a birthday card. So enjoy!

My first card is a Christmas card using the new Christmas Poinsettia Stamp. This set is great for colouring and I attempted no line colour pencil colouring.

  • I created mask for the flowers using Mudra masking paper.
  • I stamped, masked, stamped the imaged from the stamp set to create a cluster.
  • I coloured the cluster using Faber Castell PolyChromos colour pencils.
  • I masked the four sides of the panel using masking paper and sponged distress ink in Scattered Straw, Antique Linen and Tea Dye ink.
  • I removed the mask and added highlights to the coloured cluster using white gel pen.
  • I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set on a strip of white cardstock using black ink.
  • Adhered the sentiment strip to the card panel using foam adhesives.
  • The panel is adhered to cream card base using craft foam.
  • Finally added White Blizzard Nuvo crystal drops to flower centres.

Here are some of the closeup of this card.

My second project is a New Year card using the Starbursts stamp set. This set has gorgeous fireworks images similar to the Crackers stencil.

  • I colour embossed the largest starburst image on a Navy cardstock panel. I used red, green and yellow embossing powder.
  • Then I gold heat embossed the smaller starburst images on top of the large embossed image as well as on the outer of the cluster.
  • I sponged the edges of this panel with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot distress inks to add depth.
  • I sprayed the panel with Iridescent shimmer spray.
  • The sentiment is gold heat embossed on stripsof white cardstock and adhered using foam adhesives.
  • Then I added some more sparkle using Gold stickles and Nuvo white blizzard crystal drops.
  • I adhered this panel to a navy card base using craft foam.

Here are the closeups of the card.

My third card is totally random. I wanted to watercolour. So I rummaged through my Mudra stash and picked the Old Macdonald stamp set to play with. I love the farm animals on this stamp set.

  • I used Bristol Smooth cardstock to stamped the images randomly using Versafine Onyx black ink.
  • I coloured the images and the background using Zig clean colour brush pens and added shading using Faber Castell Polychromos colour pencils.
  • I also stamped the sentiment randomly all over the panel.
  • I adhered this panel on to the card base.
  • The sentiment is from the new Christmas Sentiments and Birthday stamp sets.
  • I white heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and trimmed into strips.
  • Adhered the sentiment strips randomly on the centre of the coloured card front using foam adhesives.
  • I added a few white Nuvo Crystal drops to finish the card.
Here are the closeups of the card.

Here are all the Mudra supplies I used to make these cards.
