Diwali cards with Mudra's Latest releases

Hello friends ,

Im Sharada Dilip from HappyMomentzz here today to share my creations Diwali cards and more with Mudra  products.

Its a month away for Diwali and I have geared up to make Diwali cards to be sent out to friends and family. For those who do not know about Diwali, or Deepavali, is the Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated every autumn and One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance".

I have made use of Diwali Decorative stamp set , Diwali chipzeb and stencils from the Mudra's new releases for these creations. To check out the full September Release, please click HERE

Card 1

  • I have used watercolour card stock from fabriano  to create my base on which I have played with colour splashes.
  • Once I was happy with the background I have used heating tool and dried the card stock .
  • I have used distress ink and Warli Mandala Stencil to create a light tone on the watercolour background.
  • I went simple with this creation and just added sentiments and decor from DiwaliChipzeb.  I have coloured the flower chipzeb pieces with distress ink
  • Finally I adhered the creation on matching 6x4 cardstock.

Card 2

  • I have used watercolour card stock from fabriano  to create my base on which I have played with colour splashes.
  • I have played with 4 color tones on this background.
  • Once I was happy with the background I have used heating tool and dried the card stock .
  • I have decorated the card with DiwaliChipzeb pieces which I have coloured with golden chalk ink which I couldn't catch on my photo here.
  • I have added the sentiment from Diwali Sentiment stamp set .
  • Finally I adhered the creation on matching 6x4 cardstock.

Card 3

  • Once again I have used a watercoloured bacground in two tones and used Warli Mandala Stencil to create a dark tone on the watercolour background.
  • I have added the sentiment from Diwali Sentiment stamp set . The sentiment heat embossed in gold.
  • I have decorated the card with DiwaliChipzeb diya
  • Finally I adhered the creation on matching 6x4 cardstock.

Card 4

  • I have tried dual tone on the watercolour paper with distress ink lightly and have stamped the sentiments giving dual tones.
  • I have used Diwali Decorative stamp set for this creation.
  • The Diya is heat embossed in gold.

That is all for today!
