A set of Diwali cards!

Good day everyone! Hope you are having a great start to your week. Gayatri from Handmadebyg3.com here with you today. I apologise for my late post today. Just got mixed up about the dates. Anyway here I am with a bunch of Diwali cards to share.

But first, have you entered your project for the Diwali card making contest? All details are below.

So make sure you have a cuppa ready and enjoy my set of Diwali cards. 

• On this card, I used the new Diwali release dies. The Diya die and the Diwali die.
• For the background, I used distress inks and the Rangoli stencil. The colours of distress inks I used are Wilted Violet, Picked raspberry and Abandoned Coral.
• I chose the traditional rich colours plus the gold glitter to add to the festivity of Diwali. These colours reminds me of traditional Kanchepuram silk sarees.
• Finally some gold stickles to embellished the card.

This is the first card I made in this set. I like it so much a made a set of four similar cards. 

Card 1

• I kept the background same distress ink colours to the first card. They are Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Abandoned Coral. 
• I used Rangoli stencil and sponged the same inks to add interest to the background.
• The solid Diya dies are die cut on carstock sponged with yellow distress inks and layered with the detail die, die cut using the gold glitter cardstock.
• The Diwali die is die cut using black cardstock and layered with the backer die die cut in yellow cardstock.
• The Happy sentiment is from Diwali Decoratives stamp set which I gold heat embossed on a strip f the black cardstock.
• The card is embellished in gold sequins.

• I changed up the colours on the background and on the Diya to make another two card. 
• I went with pinks and reds for the background. 
• The distress inks colours I used are Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, Abandoned Coral and Barn Door. 
• For the  Diya, I used Mustard Seed, Fossilised Amber, Ripe Persimmon and Twisted Citron.
