Hello my crafty friends!
Thanks for popping in today. I hope you are having a great vacation. I have quick cards using one of my favorite background technique - Distress Ink Background with Zig Clean Real Brush Pens, along with one additional project. I hope you'll love my project.
This is a picture heavy post, hope you will stay till the post ends.
Let's start,
1. Super Girl + Distress Ink Background
You all have seen this technique various times on different blog but I am quite addicted to this background color and one of my favorite color scheme.
This technique is quite easy but need practice to achieve a good blending background. I wanted to revisit this technique again here with this newly launch stamps i.e. "Super Girl"
Card Details:
- I started to work on my card by blending different ink on a watercolor paper.
- Next I splatter some water to remove some of the distress ink.
- Once everything is dried, I splatter white acrylic paint mixed with water with old toothbrush and brush.
- Next I stamped sentiment in Versamark ink on background with mini-impresso tool and then covered it with Gold embossing Powder from Ranger and heat set it.
- Next I cut city scene from black CS and adhered them at the bottom of the card.
- Colored Super Girl stamp with zig clean brush pen and fussy cut it.
- Adhered with foam tape on one of the building.
- Complete card with gold sequins.
2. Simple Card with Magnolia Stamp
Card Details
- I started with 5x7 base card and little smaller panel from green and kraft CS.
- Next I stamped Magnolia flower on a watercolor paper and colored it with zig clean real brush pens.
- Fussy cut the stamped flower and adhered on a panel of kraft and green CS along with jute thread.
- Stamped sentiment on a right bottom corner so that it can be visible enough to read.
- Completed card with gold sequins.
3. Stand By you Card
Card Detail
- I started with stamping all critters from the stamp set on a watercolor CS.
- Colored them with one Brown color of different shades and fussy cut all.
- Adhered a panel of Navy Blue colored CS on a 5x7 base card.
- Stamped sentiment and heat set it with gold embossing powder.
- Assembled all the fuzzy cut stamped critters and complete the card with gold sequins.
4. Simple Mixed Media Tag
Tag Detail
- I started with priming the chipzeb largest tag with white gesso.
- Once it was dried I randomly stamped the newly launch checker stamp with archival ink.
- Next I took Distress Ink, mixed it with water and randomly did ink smooshing technique.
- Dried everything with heat tool and stamped sentiment from Bookmark stamp set.
- To give little bit of contrast look, I have stamped Rose Bud Stamp on a watercolor CS and colored it with zig clean brush pens.
- Fussy cut it and adhere it with foam tape.
- Complete the tag with gold sequins.
5. Mixed Media Frame
I want to share little bit about this frame. It's a Wall hanging. It's a Desk Frame. Fold-able.
So let's see,
A brief Detail
- I started with MDF Frame, then I adhered medical bandage to give a bit texture.
- Next I applied Black Gesso as I want to give all embellishment a gold and copper effect.
- Then I started applying all the materials like some metal gears, keys, some mechanical parts, chipzeb and some sea shells.
- Once everything is dried, I applied Gesso on everything except few chipzeb.
- Then I applied Red and Violet Paint on MDF Frame. Once the paint is dried I started applying gold and copper paint with my fingers on embellishments and little bit on MDF frame.
- Next I applied white paint with my dried brush to give extra effect.
- To complete the frame I adhered flower, words and butterfly chipzeb.
I have used all the possible chipzeb and some junks, shell, gears, etc.. So this is how full frame look like,
I hope you all liked my projects today. Thank you for stopping by. If you liked my project, please leave your comment, I love to hear from you.
