CAS Vintage Card | Video

Hello everyone! This is Deepti here and today I have two cards to share with you all. I love making cute and fun stuff. So here I am today with a cute CAS Vintage card and a sweet Mermaid card. According to me Vintage means adding a lot of Brown. Say for example, if you colored an image in pink and added brown to the edges and highlights of that image then that becomes Vintage. That's what I did today, I added a lot of brown to the images. :)

CARD #1 DETAILS

I started by ink blending the background with Vintage Photo Distress ink then stamped the Pixels stamp set randomly on the ink blended card stock with the same Vintage Photo distress ink. To create some interest to the background I added splatters of water and picked up the excess with a tissue paper.

I stamped the doggy from Furry Friend and the envelope from Mail Delight stamp sets in Versafine Sepia Ink and colored them with Vintage Photo and Festive Berries distress Inks respectively. To add more depth I added more brown (vintage photo) to the images! I fussy cut the images, made a tiny slit in dog's mouth with scissors and adhered the envelope with the glue. This looks like as if the dog was catching the envelope!

I stamped the sentiments with the same Versafine Sepia ink and adhered the images with foam tape. Finally wrapped a regular white twine at the bottom to complete the card!

CARD #2 DETAILS

This card was pretty simple to make. I ink blended the background with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and added splatters of water just to mimic an ocean. Next stamped the sentiment from Mermaid stamp set with CP Midnight Ink.

I stamped the Mermaids in black ink and water colored them with Faber-Castell Water Color Pencils. I didn't want my water coloring to be perfect since they were floating in water I just wanted that imperfect look!

Fussy cut the images, foam mounted on top of the card panel and added silver dots with Silver Gel Pen to highlight the overall design!

I hope you liked my cards and got inspired. Also don't forget to play along with our current challenge where the theme is Chalkboard Technique. I already shared my inspiration pics for this challenge. In case you missed any of those here it is again for you! :)
