Mudra Guest Designer : Priya Satish

Good Morning All!

We are here today with our Guest Designer of the month, Priya Satish. She is the winner of our April challenge and she has brought in two beautiful projects to share with our viewers. And also she is too kind to share a video tutorial and a pictorial for us.

Over to her,

"Hi everyone!

Priya Satish this side on the Mudra Stamps blog as Guest Designer. Thank You Varshitha and Team for this lovely opportunity.

My crafting journey:

A chemistry major, passionate Bharathnatyam dancer, Internationally certified One Stroke Painting Instructor, Fevicryl Specialist, allured to the alchemy of arts for the past 20 years.
Dance has taught me that any sense of direction to my future should come out of my own hands. This reflection contributed to engaging my wishes in sketching. I wanted my strokes to speak in this pursuit with a firm belief that Art breathes life into space. The blending of colours in creating works of art has always fascinated me. This curiosity and fascination led me to learn the art of painting.
My exposure and training in the field of art and painting has instilled confidence in me to try out many things in life. I believe that Life isn't about finding yourself; Life is about creating yourself.

Altered Brush

Altered an old paint brush using mudra chipzebs.

  • First I applied a coat of white gesso and let it dry.
  • Next randomly applied Finnabair Art Extravagance White sand.
  • Layered Distress Crackle Paint and let it dry.
  • Applied white gesso on the Chipzebs - Elegant Circle FrameFloral FramesDream Catcher.
  • Stamped versamark ink and added black glitter embossing powder and heat set it.
  • Layered Cheese cloth and Chipzebs.
  • Spritzed Lindy's Sprays all over to enhance the beauty of the brush.
  • Added the sentiment.
  • Voila!!! My brush is ready.

I have made a video tutorial for the same. Here's the link.

Spread Happiness - Tag

It's been a while since I made a Tag, so I decided I will do one. A few months back, I bought the Mudra Simple Tag Chipzebs. But somehow didn't use it.
Now when I got the opportunity why would I let go. So here it is.

  • Coloured the Mudra Tag with Distress Oxide Seedless Preserves and spritzed some water to get a textured effect.

  • Colored the fussy cut image with Zig markers.

  • Took a small bit of cheese cloth and added colors with Distress Inks: Mustard Seed and Carved Pumpkin.

Few more close up pics

Thank you, Priya Satish for the awesome projects. You have beautifully used up the Mudra projects in both the projects. Thanks once again for being our Guest Designer today!

Thanks all for stopping by!

Happy Crafting!
