Hello!!
Dr.Monika is here today with us with another super inspiring post.. If you had missed her Guest Design Post Part I, Click here. Here we go to see her super cool projects!!
"Art Journal Page – “Live Life in Full”
I love
floral designs and these Mudra floral
stamp sets are just fabulous, so here is my beautiful Art Page. I used different
stamp sets Floral Silhouette, Vintagy Flourish, Beautiful Butterflies and WildRose.
Process:
- Used
good quality card stock to start making my art page, trimmed according to
the size of my Art Journal. Sprayed some water and then sprinkled some powder
from Lindy’s magical shaker- Yodeling Yellow for giving bright colour to the
background.
- After
drying, I stamped different patterns and designs using Mudra Floral Silhouette, Vintagy Flourish with Jet Black-archival
ink and some Tim Holtz distress inks to make my Art Page brighter. Then
added some textures using Finnabair patina effect paste (Blue) with few random
stencils.
- Heat
embossed the stamped word “Bloom” and added some stamped fussy cut
elements from Vintagy Flourish
and Beautiful Butterfly.
- To
finish it, added a Vintage paper doll die cut and some sentiments from Tim
Holtz idea-ology.
- At
the end, added a stamped sentiment “Live
Life in Full” using Mudra Wild Rose stamp set. I used a
piece of burlap, to highlight this lovely sentiment.
- Then, added a few of Finnabair art stones using 3D gloss gel.
Handmade Floral Card – “Sending Hugs”
I love
making cards using handmade flowers and embellishments. So here is my card.
Process:
- Randomly stamped some pretty butterflies using Beautiful Butterflies and Tim Holtz distress ink on white card stock, trimmed the paper in size and adhere on to the base card using double sided foam tape.
- I distressed another piece of cardstock with Tim Holtz distress ink and then crushed it. Distress the edges too and then stamped all over using Old Script. The paper was smaller in size from base card.
- Stamped both designs from Leafy stamp set using Tim Holtz distress inks -Mowed Lawn and Mustard Seed. Done fussy cutting using a sharp scissor.
- Adhered the distressed piece and then used floral die cut frame, stamped leaves, handmade flowers, and some piece of cheese cloth along with some Finnabair art stones to decorate the card. Added some colour to art stones and cheese cloth using Lindy’s magical shaker.
- At the end added a sentiment “Sending Hugs” from Dainty Blooms 2 stamp set.
