Hello Folks,
Manu here and I'm sharing a bunch of Rakhi cards I made this festive season. I totally adored the Rakhi stamps that were released by Mudra and you would all agree to the emotions the stamps shared, for those are the emotions we have grown up with. Fighting, loving and giving our siblings a real crazy times are the best memories I have with my little brother and these stamps perfectly echo's my sentiments for the love and memories I share with my brother.
I also have a pictorial tutorial of a wheel reveal card which is totally a craze these days!! Believe me, it looks complex, but is super simple to execute. I hope you will be tempted to make one for yourself seeing the below tutorial.
Lets checkout the cards I made.
I have made a set of 3 cards and Lets checkout the wheel reveal card first .
Project 1:
1. Take 2 pieces of 5*7 card stock. I have stamped and colored the images I want on one of them. Since the wheel reveal takes some space, I would recommend stamping at the lower end of your cardstock.
2. Take the sentiment and place it where you want your reveal window. now draw a small window at the corners. I drew the window keeping in my sentiment which was a little big.
Check the next picture to see how it is to be done.
3. Take two circle die cuts. the bigger one will be the one on which the sentiments will be stamped and the smaller one with be adhered to the base of the 2nd cardstock.
Take a brad and adhere it at the middle of both the circles and then turn the circles so that the smaller one faces you.
Adhere foam tape on this small circle keeping in mind that the tape does not touches the brad or the bigger circle.
Now align this circle to the window of the 1st panel (keeping the small circle down) and then align this whole structure to the 2nd panel.
4. Your small circle is now adhered to the 2nd cardstock. Now keep the 1st panel back and mark the places on the big circle where you want your sentiments to be placed.
Since my sentiments are big, I decided to just go for 2 sentiments opp to each other.
(Marking the place for the sentiments helps in deciding where exactly your quotes will be and it makes sure that they stay put inside the window that is cut out)
Now take out the big circle from the brad and stamp the sentiments.
5. Now place the foam tape on all the sides keeping in mind that it doesnt touches the big circle, else it will be diff to rotate the wheel.
Adhere the 1st card panel to the base and your wheel reveal is ready. Adhere this whole structure to a card base and your card is ready!!
Spin the circle from the right area to reveal surprise messages!! FUN !!! TOTAL FUN!!! Isn't it???
I added a dash of glitter to make the card more stand out!!

My second card reminds me about the endless fights we siblings used to have(err, we do have them now too!! ahem ahem, habits die hard ) but then it was amazing to see how quickly the fights turns into love and everything was back to normal.
We kept in mind the emotions when we designed these stamps. To read about how we fight and make up on a design concept, READ this post by our Signature Designer Seema Sinha. I'm sure you will have fun reading all the bantar we have alongside some serious serious work.
