Explosion box | Chipzeb 3D cake

Happy Friday!
Meher here from Meher Creations.

I hope you have had a great week so far. I have been busy with several new exciting things that I look forward to sharing with you soon.

In the mean time, I wanted to share an explosion box I created using the super gorgeous Mudra chipzeb.
I've created this for the wonder women who's an inspiration for many. This is for you Varshita. You are born to be an entrepreneur. Hats off to you for all your efforts in getting the top quality chipzeb and stamps in India.

Well, I had been eyeing on these new chipzeb pieces since long when the kit arrived and finally got a chance to work with them and I absolutely enjoyed creating this.

Step by step instructions:

  • Pick a 12*12 cardstock and score at 4" and 8"
  • Turn and again score at 4" and 8"
  • Now you have 9 blocks on your cardstock.
  • Cut the 4 blocks from the four corners.
  • Now you have a layout in the firm of Plus sign.
  • Cut 5 pieces of pattern papers of your choice and adhere it on the blocks.
  • Fussy cut two doilies and adhere using the foam tape and assemble other embellishments of your choice like flowers, butterflies etc on two opposite blocks.
  • Use any border punch to create two pockets and embellish the pocket with flowers.
  • Adhere two pieces of pattern papers at the centre.
  • Pick the Mudra 3D chipzeb cake pieces and start attaching them using glossy accents.
  • Once you attach all the pieces, start embellishing the cake using flowers and accessories of your choice.
  • Creating a lid: Pick a new cardstock and score at 1.5" , 5.6" and 7.1"
  • Turn your cardstock and repeat the same.
  • Cut the rest of the cardstock and give single cuts on each corner the scored cardstock.
  • Stick it using use glue and your lid is ready.
  • Cut 5 pieces of pattern papers and 4 strips of your choice to decorate the box.
  • Distress the borders and stick it.
  • Pick the heart maze and layer it with pattern paper and stick them using glossy accents. Pour some micro beads, stick the OHP layer and complete the shaker.
  • Use some pink lace to give a border to the heart and embellish it using flowers.
  • Complete rest of the outer blocks using some new chipzeb banners and flowers.

By now you all know that you have a wonderful opportunity every month to participate in monthly challenges and get a chance to win Mudra goodies. So,  don't forget to check the current challenge and show your skill.
