Hello Crafty peeps,
A rainy day inspires this moody, neutral color palette with a hint of feminine shades. Here’s how to precipitously add it to your home decor. I am sharing a 8x8 mini Mixed media wall art which will be framed and used as a wall decor. I started creating this keeping in mind I needed something inspiring using the New chipzeb releases.
I have recycled a price tag and repurposed it as the base of my creation . I started the creation with applying gesso to the background so that the colors flow easily on the surface or the base . After the gesso is completely dry I have used texture paste and Leafy Peeks 6"x6" stencil and created this texture on the base. I chose to go with darker background and hence used alcohol inks to colour them. I have created a moss colour background as inspired by all the little things around me. These are the rainy season colour palette !!
I wanted to go with bright and lovely colours over the dark background so I have used the Brick chipzeb kept them uncoloured. I have cut it into two halves and used them on the corners to give a nice visibility .
The highlight of the wall art as per my designing was to be the sentiment so keeping that in mind I have filled the center part using Gears chipzeb and Victorian Circle Frame Chipzeb . I have painted them blue and splashed gold on it to create texture . I have decorated it further with flowers and Spring Foliage chipzeb bringing in a feminine touch.
I have added glass beads in between to create more textures . The creation is completed with a sentiment from Supergirl stamp set .
This creation is all in all an inspiration for our ongoing Mudra Challenge #22 "Stamps,Stencils & Something new"
"Something new" refers to anything from Techniques, tools or embellishments so please do mention what "New" you have used in your creation !
I have a few more lovely creations to share along today . This is a baby boy book made for a newborn in my family . I have used papers from Beary hugs for this . The prince chipzeb and the Lollipop Shaker Chipzeb , perfect for a baby album cover isnt it?
Inside the album I have used the Little Boy Chipzeb sets , this is a must have for a Baby album maker !!
Finally I have a vintage card to share , it is made using my scrap stash ! Sometimes it's fun to play along leftovers and adding some chipzebs totally converts the look of it as you see here .
I have used very few supplies here and brought out an striking vintage card just using Scribble Circle Chipzeb and sentiment from Supergirl stamp set . Here again the colour pallette is rainy day one and the blue shades of flowers stand out with it !!
As you all know MUDRA is giving 10K worth MEGA Giveaway goodies, Are you playing along? If not then here is a link to the all steps. I am sure this you don't want to miss. Hurry and you may be one of our lucky winner. Best Wishes!!
