Sathya here from Paperie Expressions, catching you all up after a long time. My Teamies are giving back to back inspirations and the blog is just wonderfully loaded with awesome projects. I hope you enjoy as much as we love doing it! And not to forget our newest launches, such pocket friendly and sure heart stealers. There's lot more in pipeline and we are sure to unveil it sooner.
And let's get started with my today's share of projects.
MixedMedia Floral canvas
(*My take on the current challenge : Floral & Texture)
- Took 8x10 canvas and white gessoed it thoroughly.
- Applied Crackle paste using Mudra's Brick stencil on a diagonal fashion.
- Sprayed with various mists to prepare the background tone in blue and golden yellow (Lindy's Azure sea asters, glory of seas gold).
- Took a journaling card from Beary Hugs Paperpack as my focal point.
- Matted the journal card over the white heat embossed Mudra's floral frame chipboard (which was cut in half and used to frame the sentiment)
- Another pp from same paper pack taken and diecut with a doily and used for the floral spray.
- Mudra chipboard are primed ones, and so doesn't require any gesso layering over it.
- Have treated the leaves chipboard with Peeled paint Distress oxides and few white heat embossed.
- Arranged my floral spray as above and stamped around it using Grungy stamps with black archival ink.
- Liberally added artstones, glitter balls as accents.
- And Mudra gold sequins of different sizes were added.
- And some gesso splashes, mist splashes randomly.
- Added loads of fine glitter to go with the sentiment of the journal card.
- As a final touch, added few computer generated butterflies.
MixedMedia Fantasy World
Always been fascinated by Fantasy world stories and love dark woods and greens. Mudra's chipboard of Fairies were my favorite and i loved creating this mini canvas just for the love of fairies.
- Took 6x6 canvas, white gessoed it.
- Applied white crackle paste liberally over the corners of the canvas.
- Took Mudra round chipboard and applied Texture pastes along with artstones and applies over the black gessoed chipboard.
- Took the mushroom chipboard, black gessoed and followed by that applies artstones and texture paste on the cap part.
- Sprayed several sprays in green, gold and browns (Lindy's Seamint green, Greased lightning green, Opal sea oats, Ponderosa pines olive, Prima gold mica powder) on the round chipboard and applied wax when set.
- To it added mushroom chipboard which was also applied with waxes for the texture to show through.
- Tucked mosses around the mushroom and added a fairy which was slightly distressed with the brown ink.
- Centrally added different mosses to create a woodland environment and sprayed several mists of green, brown and gold (Lindy's Seamint green, Greased lightning green, Opal sea oats, Ponderosa pines olive, Prima gold mica powder).
- Took leaves chipboards and colored it with Green mists.
- The round chipboard added centrally over the mosses and green leaves chippies are added as branching out from it as shown above.
- Added some gold glitter balls liberally along with sprakly glitter powder to create the mood of the canvas.
- Two more fairies are distressed with brown ink and added in the woods along with mosses.
- Finally added black archival ink around the canvas as the final touch.
- Project is more sparkly and shine in real and its too hard to capture the exact nature of it over camera.
Hope you like this simple share of mine for today!
