Hi All,
We have today a Super Gorgeous Mixed Media Project by our Guest Designer - Heena Shaikh. Her works speaks much of her awesome style of Crafting.
Over to her,
"Hello Mudra Fans!
I'm Heena from https://bloomingpaperbuds.com/. I’m a 23 yr old passionate crafter from Mumbai, India. I started paper crafting about 4 years ago although painting and crafting was my hobby since childhood , I started with Quilling and Punch Craft and kept exploring the world of paper crafting through the internet and discovered the art of Mix Media and scrapbooking, a lot of my inspiration comes from nature and I gravitate more towards vintage and shabby styles, warm colours, floral patterns and botanical art. Apart from crafting I love baking and cake decorating, I’m a self-taught baker, I enjoy tinkering in my home bakery when I’m not crafting. I’m a DIY lover and I love making paper flowers and pretty much anything that’s crafty!

Today I have a mixed media canvas to share using the gorgeous Mudra Chipzeb chippies and stencils.
Instructions:
- For this project, I have taken an 8 by 10'' stretched canvas. I started off by adding some texture using the Mudra brick wall stencil ( for this I made a coarse grey texture paste by adding some mini art stones and black gesso to my modelling paste)
- To add some more texture I applied some modelling paste through the Grunge stencil at random places.
- Now to make the background more interesting I used the Mudra old script stamp and stamped at random places using black archival ink.
- After everything dried I coloured the background with some Lindy's and highlighted the textures by dry brushing with white gesso.
- Next, I took the small flower stamp from the botanical blooms stamp set and stamped small flower bunches and fussy cut them, I also stamped some leaves and fussy cut them as well.
- I have also used some floral fussy cuts from my stash.
- I have used the Mudra chipzeb chippies (which I'm absolutely in love with) leafy swirls and words1 and I haven't coloured them because they look beautiful just as is.
- To embellish the canvas I have used some flowers from Prima, art stones, green moss, glass glitter, IOD mould clay embellishments, art pebbles.
- Lastly, I added some splatters of white gesso.
I hope you liked my creation and found it inspirational!
Happy crafting, Heena xo"
