Painted Alphas and Chalkboard Technique

Hello everyone! This is Deepti and today I am going to show you a few cards made using Painted Alphas stamp set. At the very end of this post I will show you the card made for the current challenge - Chalkboard Technique.

With this Painted Alphas or any Alphabet stamps you can create a customized message or sentiments or monograms. In today's card I have created my own background, made a customized sentiment and also a monogram :)

1. Creating Backgrounds

stamps used - painted alphas and bookmark

CARD DETAILS

I simply started by stamping the Alphabets randomly on a white cardstock with London Fog ink from Memento to create my own background. Then stamped the sentiment from the Bookmark stamp set with Catherine Pooler Midnight ink.

2. Creating Customized Messages or Sentiments

CARD DETAILS

I started by stamping the layers of the Daisy Blooms flowers and leaves in various purples and greens by Catherine Pooler Inks. Next I stamped the word MOM with Painted Alphas in Black ink, fussy cut it and layered with vellum card stock and finally adhered it on top the card base.

CARD DETAILS

I had a piece left over from my previous card, I stamped the word SISTER with Versamark ink and heat set it with Clear Embossing Powder. Fussy cut it and foam mounted on the ink splattered card base.

CARD DETAILS

I water colored a portion on a piece of Timholtz water color paper with Koi Water Colors. Next I stamped the alphabet D with black ink. I added tiny dots and streaks of glue over and around the alphabet to help gold foil the areas. Finally foiled it with Clear Snap gold foil

Here is my card for the current challenge :)

stamps used - floral fantasy

CARD DETAILS

On a standard sized black card stock I stamped the flowers and leaves from Floral Fantasy with Distress Oxide Inks in Worn Lipstick and Cracked Pistachio respectively for some colorful Chalkboard Effect and also layered the flowers, stamped the sentiment with Color Box White Pigment Ink.
