Hiya!!
Varshitha Here... Our April Release will be little late.. But today we have some really exciting blogpost for you... I am here with our wonderful Guest Designer & Stamp Designer Ameera Jabeen today in our blog.
Let’s hear from her!!!
"Hello! My name is Ameera, I'm a passionate calligrapher & handletterer based in Dubai. I love DIY projects and getting crafty - be it quilling, zentangling, knitting or even baking. I get a deep satisfaction out of making something with my bare 2 hands. So you can imagine my joy in getting the opportunity to design Mudra's sentiment stampset - 'Universal Love'. I designed it keeping my 2 year old son in mind and realized that it can apply to a kind of unrestricted love between anyone - friends, siblings, parents, better-halves - hence the name Universal Love.

Being a newbie card maker, I have come up with projects that a crafter of any calibre can indulge in and give stamping a try. I hope you enjoy them!
Project 1 - Gift wrapping paper
1. I stamped the 'Love' sentiment from 'Universal Love' stampset onto regular white as well as coloured A4 and A3 size paper.
2. I kept rotating the stamp by 90 degrees and stamping to create a fun variation.
3. I also added the heart and arrow stamps from the same stampset along with the Love sentiment and repeated the same.
4. I used Altnew Crisp Ink in Coral Berry and 2 other ombre ink pads from a local store to create an ombre effect.
5. Finally, I used ribbons, flowers and hemp cord to finish my wrapping! Makes for a very personalized, one-of-a-kind gift & great for beginners to practice crisp stamping!
Project 2 - Goodie bag
1. To spruce up some brown paper bags, I stamped 'Hugs & Kisses' sentiment with Memento Archival ink in Tuxedo Black, right in the centre.
2. I then filled them with some Easter chocolates (although I wanted to fill them with Hershey's Kisses - how apt would that have been to match the sentiment!)
3. I folded a 2.5" dia doily paper in half and sealed the goodie bag using glue / stapler
4. To give a finished look, you can tie a decorative twine or ribbon
Project 3 - Card
1. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock/water color paper
2. I sized and stacked the stamped watercolor paper along with a pre-embossed Kraft paper (cut to two-thirds) on top of a bright red card base
3. I added a strip of golden glitter tape at the junction of the 2 papers to take away the sharp contrast and add interest. You can add lace or any ribbon.
4. I then stamped a hibiscus along with leaves. I fussy cut and coloured it in to match the base card color.
5. Position and stick the flower on the card with foam tape where you please! Voila, card is ready!
I look forward to seeing you try out these projects and many more. I'm truly inspired by all the creatives in the Mudra community and I hope to have done the same today with these simple projects.
