Baby boy or baby girl ?

Hey girls,
This is Parul here from Parul Gupta Designs. Today I bring you two cards on most adorable theme "Baby". Mudra released its Baby Stamp set in January 2017 and it will be already in possession for many of you :)
Lets have a look at the stamp set first
Since I coordinated for this stamp set with very talented Shilpi G. Shivhare,  I want to tell you few pointers which might help you.
  • This stamp set has got 4 baby postures and just by changing the colour of their nappies  or type of hairs or the eyes you can make them either baby boy or baby girl. Isn't that cool?
  • Just to add fun we have also included simple curl in case you want that kinda hairs more.
  • Colouring images is very much in the trend these days. So having an out line image both for baby and sentiment gives you ample of opportunity to showing off your colouring skills.

Now to my cards

I have made two congratulation cards which can be gifted to new parents of a baby girl or boy.
In both of my cards I have used paper piecing technique.  This is a wonderful technique and is a life saviour when you don't have colours matching to the card stock. I wanted to colour the nappy and ball of the baby in pink colour matching to the card stock I had. But the colour was not available with me. So I stamped the baby image on same pink card stock and fussy cut its nappy and alternative segments of the ball its holding. And then I stuck them on the stamped image on white panel. Isn't it amazing?
Similarly I stamped the tie and cap on two blue pattern papers, fussy cut them and stuck them to the image for baby boy card. I love this technique. It adds a nice subtle dimension to the image along with some beautiful contrast.
The sentiment "congrats" is from Labelled stamp set by Mudra.
I hope you liked the cards I made. Please let me know in comments.
