Meetu Aggarwal: Mudra DT Intro

Hiya Crafters,

Today we have an Awesome Crafter joining our Design Team, Meetu Aggarwal. Her floral cards are such visual delight. We are too happy to have her joining our Team. You are all sure to blown away by her projects which she has made for us today.

Over to her,

"Hello Everyone,
This is Meetu, making my debut, as a designer for Mudra Stamps. I am really excited and proud of being associated with an Indian company.

Today, I have used the Magnolia Stamp to create three different cards. The techniques used for all the cards are different.

Card 1

Card 1

  • On an A2 size card base, I used Mudra Deco pattern stencil, Mai Lemon Yellow ink and life changing brushes to create the background. The Mudra inks are very juicy and spread beautifully on Neenah solar white cardstock. Next, I stamped the Magnolia image using the Mai Jet Black ink, and used Brother Scan n Cut to cut the image. You may fussy cut the same.

  • Once the ink dried, I carefully filled the petals with Mai Lemon Yellow Ink, as these inks react with water, I coloured the petals very cautiously, making sure that I did not touch the outlines with my water brush.
  • Next, I took a Micron fine-tip pen and filled all the petals with Zentangle patterns to add interest to the image.
  • Once the image was ready, I stuck a black strip to the stencilled card base and stamped the sentiment from the Wishing You stamp set.

  • Next, I added the floral image on top of the black strip using some foam tape.
  • Lastly, I finished the card using Mudra sequins in yellow colour.

Card 2

  • I took a piece of card stock measuring 3.75” x 5.5”. I used Mai Fuchsia Pink ink and life changing brushes to blend and create the background. The Mudra inks are very juicy and spread beautifully on Neenah solar white cardstock. I also added some splatters using black and white acrylic paints to add some extra textures.

  • Next, I stamped the Magnolia image using the Mai Jet Black ink and used Brother Scan n cut to cut the image. You may fussy cut the same.
  • I then, heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Magnolia stamp using Versamark Ink and Ranger White embossing powder.

4. On an A2 size card base, I first stamped the stripes using a stamp from my stash and Mai Jet black Ink. Next, I adhered the background, followed by the floral image and sentiment. To finish the card, I used some Mudra sequins- Clear.

Card 3

  • I took a piece of card stock measuring 4.75” x 4.25”. I used Mai Sky Blue ink and applied it directly to the card stock, to create textures. I then used the same ink and life changing brushes to blend ink on the texture created to balance everything out. The Mudra inks are very juicy and spread beautifully on Neenah solar white cardstock.

  • Next, I took an A2 size card base, I first stamped the stripes using a stamp from my stash and Mai Jet black Ink. I then adhered the textured background to the card base and also splattered it with diluted black acrylic paint.
  • I then stamped the sentiment from the Thanks stamp onto the card base.

4. Next, I stamped the Magnolia image using the Mai Jet Black ink and used Brother Scan n cut to cut the image. You may fussy cut the same. I adhered the image to the card base using foam tape.
5. To finish the card, I used some blue sequins from the Mudra Harvest Mix.

Last but not the least, here is a glimpse of the lovely products I received in my DT package. Thank you Varshitha, for sending these goodies all the way to New Zealand. I must say all the products are really top notch.
