Mudra Craft Stamps: Ink Layering with Stamps and Dies

Hi! I am back with some more inspiration for the current challenge. Mudra has a wide range of stamp sets including some gorgeous layered stamps. I am a great fan of these sets since layered or multi-step stamping gives such beautiful results. I especially love the layered sets by Mudra as they are very easy to line up and make stamping a snap. Also combining different sets is very easy.

Card 1:

I did some random stamping for my first card to create my own 'pattern paper'.

Take a piece of ivory paper and randomly stamp the flowers from the Daisy Blooms stamp set. Fill in the spaces with leaf stamp from Botanical Blooms.
Trim the panel and adhere it to a light pink card base.
Stamp the sentiments from the Wishing You stamp set a strip of ivory paper.
Back the sentiment strip with some grey cardstock and adhere it to the card.

Card 2:
A more masculine version of the previous card, I used only the leaves from the gorgeous Begonia stamp set.

Take a piece of ivory paper and stamp the leaves from the Begonia stamp set. I also did some multicolour inking for the smaller leaves. For this, stamp the base layer with pale green and then restamp after applying maroon ink to the edges of the stamp.
I used a tiny stamp from the Floral Banner stamp set to fill up the gaps.
To get the ombre effect on the sentiment, stamp the sentiment from the Balloons stamp set first with the lighter ink. Clean the stamp and apply the darker ink to about halfway down. Use a dry cloth to dab away any harsh edges and stamp again. A stamp positioner is very handy for this.
Die cut the sentiment panel and the green and black mats.
Trim the stamped panel and adhere it to a green card base.
Pop up the sentiment panel with some foam tape and adhere to the card.

Card 3:
To add to all the gorgeous layered stamps, Mudra recently released some beautiful layered dies. I received my package today evening and had to use to create one more card.

Take some pattern paper and trim it on the sides.
Pop it up on some foam tape and adhere it to a grey card base over gold matting.
Die cut the sentiment out of mirrored gold paper and the shadow out of grey cardstock.
Adhere the sentiment to the card.
Stamp the companion sentiment from the Diwali Decorations stamp set on a small strip of grey cardstock.
Trip and adhere to the card base with some foam tape.
