Mudra Challenge # 20

This is Aditya Khaitan here to host April month challenge post with Yulianna. We have a very interesting theme for this month  “floral and texture “


                                          


Florals: Use handmade florals using dies, punches, stamped florals, store bought flowers.

Textures: Make use of any pastes such as Embossing, Textures paste as such or with stencils, Heat embossing, or visual textures using color layers or Tactile textures such as Burlap, laces, frills.

Challenge Rules:

You can create Cards/Layout/Canvas/Scrapbook/ 3D Projects/ Any Craft forms
  • Use of Mudra products is must to qualify for the challenge.
  • Last date of submission is 11.55 pm IST, 30th April 2018. 
  • Please go through General Guidelines hereAny entrants not following the rules, will be disqualified and will not be eligible for the challenge.
1 Merit based Winner and  2 Top picks will be selected. All 3 will have a badge to flaunt at their blogs. Winner gets Rs.900+ worth Goodies & Chance to be a Guest designer at Mudra Blog, Top Pick gets Rs.500 worth Prize from Mudra! 











Procedure:
  • First cut 13”x5” thick paper from card stock to create base for the card and score at 6.5” so the final size for the card will be 6.5”x5”.
  • Now cut 5”x3.5” 3 tags to be over lap on each other and taper cut from 2 corner as shown in the picture .
  • Now cut a light shade 6.5”x5” pattern paper for card base and trim it from corner .
  •  Layer the tag on the card with help of foam tape to give it a nice 3d effect and trim it from corner.
  • For giving texture to the card use ink colors or distress spray of some dark shades .
  • Give texture using hexa stamp and Grunge fx stencil stencil.
  • Die cut thanks from thanks die in 2 shades, one in black other in golden paper to give it nice 3d shade effect .
  • Now it’s time to create center of attraction our flowers , I have given a very easy twist to my flower by giving them doodle effect, which is very easy to make .
  •  Die cut 4 big flower, 6 small flowers, 3-4 big leaves and 4-5 small.
  • Now comes the doodling part using black liner pen.
  • Color it roughly with distress ink with water brush which will give it a nice rustic look to it.
  • Adjust some matching pollen in them.
  • Now arrange all the elements one by one with help of liquid adhesive.
  • At last add some clear drops and black pearls to the card.

Procedure :


  • To create this card, Apply texture paste (Nuvo glimmer paste) using Mudra leafy pattern stencil.
  • Stamp on the cardstock using Mudra persian element stamp and color with various distress oxides.
  • Splatter pink inks.
