Mudra Craft Stamps: For the love of colour

Mirella here, and today I want to share with you some colourful cards. It was raining quite a lot recently in my area, hence I decided that I needed some fun and colour to cheer me and my craft room up!

CARD 1 - You can never go wrong with a rainbow!

1. I stamped a repeated pattern on a card base, using most of the elements from the Build a Ribbon stampset. I stamped it using Versamark Ink, and then heat embossed it with white detail embossing powder (if you're doing it on a white card base, you can also use clear embossing powder to get a very similar result). I also stamped & heat embossed the sentiment more less in the center of the panel.

2. I then used my beloved Distress Inks to create a rainbow on the panel - I used less colours than you can see on the panel, as when some of these colours got overlapped, they created an additional tone/colour. I used Candied Apple, Mustard Seed, Salty Ocean and some Wilted Violet.

3. I gently went over the heat embossed images with a damp cloth, to clean any Distress Ink residue from the white embossed elements.

4. Next, I matted the panel on some black cardstock, and adhered it all to my card base.

5. I was planning on adding some embellishments to the panel, but in the end decided to keep it simple for now - this way, I can use the card for a masculine birthday, too. And if I decide to send it to a girl-friend, I can always jazz it up later ;o)

CARD 2 - Relatively CAS (Clean and Simple) with flowers

1. Once again, I had to have a go with my recently purchased Zig markers - I do love colouring with them, I must say! I used a few yellows, oranges, pinks and purples to colour my florals, and then fussy cut them. I also covered the petals with clear Wink of Stella, for some additional glimmery look.

2. For the card base, I used a linen-textured cream cardstock, which looks really lovely in real life! I also adhered a golden panel with some stitching around the edge for additional interest. Finally, I added a die-cut shape, cut out of cream cardstock, on which I stamped the gorgeous "Hugs and kisses" sentiment.

3. I assembled the card together, popping the flowers a bit with some dimensional foam tape. I also added a few golden glittery gems in the center of the flowers, and on the panel itself.

CARD 3 - An autumnal shaker card

1. I absolutely love the sequin mixes Mudra provides (yummy colours, and it's so cool to have all the different sizes in one mix!), and so I decided to make a shaker card with some of them - I used a mix of yellow and gold sequins, as they seemed quite fitting for the sentiment I had in mind for my card.

2. For the frame, I used a brown die cut I had in my pile of unused crafty supplies :o) I also die cut another butterfly out of some yellow cardstock, just to pop it up against the frame.

3. I stamped some of the gorgeous leaves with just Versamark Ink on a yellow card panel - this way, the leafy pattern is not too distracting, but at the same time it gives a bit of interest.

4. I stamped the sentiment on a piece of heat-resistant acetate, and heat embossed it in white.

5. Finally, I assembled the whole shaker element, and adhered the panel to a card base.

6. I also added one of the smaller golden sequins onto the butterfly, to tie the design together.
