shabby chic cards with stamps

Hello friends,
Kavitha here and i am sharing a couple of shabby chic cards today.Stamps not only make a great focal point but works great as embellishment too.If you think stamps can be only used on CAS cards, its time to rethink now.For my cards today i stamped and heat embossed on vellum and kraft cardstock with black and white embossing powders. You can also use acrylic sheet with stazon inks to get clear embellishments, use metallic and glitter embossing powders, stamp on water color papers and do some loose water coloring, the possibilities are endless.

Here is my first card,i used the flowers as the focal point and used the stamped/fussy cut image on vellum and card stock for creating the layers.I also used some laces and die cuts for the shabby chic look.

My second card is also made in similar pattern with lots of stamped images in the background to create layers. The stamps that suits this style best is line drawn designs which is quiet easy for fussing cutting, bold designs like flowers, leaves and butterflies etc.Very intricate and solid stamps doesn't work here.
