"Hi my dear friends !!

I feel so excited and happy to be here, writing my first ever DT blogpost :)

Mudra, the first Indian craft stamp company, is very special to me & close to my heart always.. Having designed my first ever stamp set & watching the whole process, it feels amazing. The stamps are of super high quality & they stamp ever so crisp & clean. I can't ask for anything more :) But then, being a part of this talented bunch of crafty team is like having double scoops of ice cream and am totally loving it :D
Thank you so much for the chance Varshitha & everyone of my teamies for the love & support..Most of all, I would like to thank each one of you wonderful people, who showered me with so much encouragement & love, because of which I had the zeal to take this big step :)
Awww I can feel so much gratitude in the air right now, why not begin by a thanks giving card?! Yup, let's get straight on to it..!

For my first project, I used this gorgeous looking Grateful stampset.

I tried a totally new technique as soon as i saw this image. Am gonna call it "Faux foiling" ;) Here's the card.

Faber Castell gelatos are creamy pigment rich sticks which blend very smoothly & give a vibrant finish. They are great to make BGs in a giffy. I just scribbled the "metallic" rainbow colors & blended with a damp baby wipe.
(Metallic colors are the key here. You can use acrylic colors or any other inks of your choice.)
After it dried completely, I Stamped the sentiment with memento tuxedo black ink. ("For you" is from the Purely sentiments-Brushed stampset)
Now for the fun part, i gave a wash of gesso around the sentiment with a size 0 brush which makes the surrounding area to have a matte finish & the sentiment looks like it has been foiled.!! Here's a better view..

I finished off by adding few sequins. I also did another card using the same technique but with a dual color scheme (gold & silver)

This is one technique which will be effective mainly with hollow stamps. So what are you waiting for? Grab yours, join the trend & do try this fun technique for yourself :)

My next project is a tag with the stamp set I have designed, "Home is"

I cut a 2.5" ×3.5" tag out of CS, sponged in Distress inks for the sky (salty ocean, chipped sapphire) after masking a portion for the ground, which i then colored with mustard seed, spiced marmalade & fired brick DI. I used a damp baby wipe to clear off some areas of the sky for clouds.

The home image is stamped separately, colored with copic markers & then fussy cut.Adhered the image to the bg such that it hangs off the edge & trimmed off the excess.

Stamped the hearts & sentiment with memento tuxedo black ink. Now for a quick tip, I really didn't wanna do masking for those teeny tiny hearts & most of all, I didn't plan the layout earlier. So i had to color over the DIs. You could use gesso to create the base. But here I used uniball signo white gel pen to fill in the hearts. It also gives a nice texture. Make sure it is totally dry before you color over it or it might ruin your marker tips.

I then applied wink of stella clear glitter & glossy accents over the hearts. I have used the same little hearts to create the flowers in front of the home for added interest.
(Always make the most out of your stamps.!!) Finally added the eyelet & a matching ribbon & it's done.

My final project is a super quick & easy CAS card using the cute birds from the Home is stampset & this awww so beautiful, Purely Sentiments-Brushed stampset.

Stamped the images with memento tuxedo black ink & colored with sketch pens (yes, you heard it right :D)

Added wink of stella clear glitter over them (The shimmer is super cool in real life!!) & some highlights with uniball signo white gel pen.. Trust me It took less then 10 mins for the whole process.!

You can mix & match all of these beautiful stampsets & come up with something totally unique. I really wish you will give it a try & please don't forget to share your works with us. We would love to see them all.!

We are so glad to introduce our another add to our Creative Team - Gayatri Viswanathan. Gayatri’s  colourful and elegant style stunned us. She is known for her awesome colouring and handmade florals. We are looking forward to the amazing variety of her projects, which gonna add extra charm to our blog projects.

 Over to Gayatri..

"Hi friends!

Gayatri here. I am so thrilled to be a design team member with Mudra Stamps and to be among best crafters whom I immensely admire. It is a dream come true for me. I am thankful to Varshitha for letting me be a part of the team.

Before I go on to my cards, I want to mention that the stamps are awesome and give clear stamped image every time. I am proud that it is 'Made in India'.

Now to my cards.

Mendhika Stamp set

Two cards with one background... :) Its like 'two birds with one stone'. I used the Mendhika border  stamp set to create  background and die cut at an angle and used the cut piece as well as the negative.

In the first, stamped flowers and leaves with Versamark Black Onyx ink, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and colored with Zig Clean clear brush. Fussy cut them and mounted using foam tapes. Mounted the panel onto white Neenah card stock and added few rhinestones. The sentiment is from Peony Love set.

In the second card I marked the shape cut out on a white cardstock and trimmed it. Stamped Mendhika designs with Altenew ink and mounted it on the negative background piece with foam tape and added few cup sequins.

Peony Love Stamp set

I am in love with this stamp. I stamped the flowers with light yellow 'Mango smoothie' Altenew crisp ink and did no line coloring. I did same with leaves. Took a piece of white cardstock, inked the corners with distress ink. Fussy cut the flowers and leaves and added them on the panel with foam tape to give a 3D effect.
Mudra has also released FREE Digital Cutting file .svg to coordinate with the stamps!! This is gonna make your work easier... Click here to see the cutting file preview.

Happy crafting and stamping too !!! :) "

Thank you Gayatri!

Guys!! Hope you are inspired well to try Mudra stamps. Do visit back for another CT member introduction and for inspirations!

Mudra Creative Team - Ponmalar

We are so excited to introduce you to our Stamp designer cum Creative Team Member Ponmalar. “Love at first sight” happened when i first saw her Illustrations, cards and crafts!! Inspite of being Physician by profession, the time and dedication she gives to her Passion is overwhelming!! When she got into Stamp designing Team, she dint knew any professional designing software. But surprised to get her first design element using Adode in a week's time. This skill of her really stunned us. She has designed 2 designs for Mudra’s first release :)

She is also as excited as we are...

Here you go Malar!!

"Good morning my dearest crafty friends!! This is Pon Malar here & those who dunno, I am a Physician from India & passionate about crafting, photography, travel & much more.

I'm practically a newbie here in crafting field; started paper crafting around June, 2015. I was always passionate about arts for as long as I can remember. But still you can imagine the shock when someone contacts a newbie about designing stamps for their company & that too the first stamp manufacturers of India ~ Mudra. Thank you so much Varshitha, for believing & trusting in me and for giving this wonderful opportunity. It's a dream come true for me!

And the first stamp set I designed was Lotus Blooms. That was a cool experience in itself, looking at 1000s of lotus photos to get their orientation, my first time trying digital drawing in Illustrator, asking a million doubts to Varshitha & to my wonderful team who guided me & helped me all along.

And thank you to everyone else from whom I get inspired :)

Today I'm sharing here the cards I made using Lotus BloomsVintagy Flourish & Metamorphosis stamp sets.

1. A special one, the first card I'm making during my first time as a DT using the first stamp set I designed. My happiness knew no bounds!!

  • Created a water-colored background with blue Distress ink & used a stencil to add some highlights to the border.
  • Stamped the lotus flower, bud and leaves onto Iris SG white card stock & embossed with gold embossing powder.
  • Fussy cut the layers & colored them using distress inks & added highlights to create depth to the petals.
  • Assembled the lotus using foam tape, stacking them one over the other by aligning the petals.
  • Finally assembled them all on my card base & it's done.

Stamp set used : Lotus Blooms

2. A fun card incorporating a variety of techniques.

  • Stamped the flourishes repeatedly on a white card stock & embossed them with white embossing powder.
  • Then sponged various Distress inks onto the card blending them as much as I can.
  • Then sprayed with water mixed with Gold perfect pearls, you can't imagine the shimmer it gives. (Not seen here in photo but trust me, it's there!)
  • Finally cut them into strips of gradually increasing/ decreasing width.
  • Pasted the strips using double sided tape & added the sentiment in white embosiing powder with few pearls to finish my card.

3. A quick & easy CAS card

  • Used the flourish stamps to create a border on two sides using stamping & masking technique.
  • Embossed with Bridal tinsel embossing powder.
  • Also used the same embossing powder on my card base to crceate a shimmering border to my card.
  • Finished the card by embossing the sentiment in white & added few pearls.

Stamp set used : Vintagy Flourish

4. Lots of ATCs with the Metamorphosis stamp set.

  • Used distress inks to color a white card stock in a rainbow of colors blending them in & sprinkling few drops of water. The distress inks react with water giving a gorgeous background effect.
  • Cut them into standard ATC sized cards.
  • Stamped the elegant & an inspirational quote and embossed it in black.
  • Added few rhinestones for a shiny touch!!

  Stamp set used :  Metamorphosis

That's it for today, now it's time to bid adieu to all!! Wishing you loads of happy stamping & creative days ahead. And do start hoarding these awesome Mudra stamp sets. :p ;)

Mudra Creative Team - Parul

We are back to introduce our next addition to the Creative Team of Mudra!!
Lets welcome Parul Gupta!!!

Parul’s simple and colourful card styles stunned us!! More than card making she came up with lots of suggestion and ideas for stamp set design.. She is also our Stamp design coordinator, who works along with the Stamp designers from the Ideation stage till the stamp set completion.

Let's hear it from her.

Parul’s FB page:
Parul’s Blog:

"Hii girls!!  I hope you all are doing great. I feel privileged about being on Mudra's Cruise. Considering the fact that I am relatively new to the craft world ( just 1.5 years), working with so much experienced as well as Talented artists in Mudra team is immense pleasure. Thanks a ton Varshitha!!

Mudra craft stamps is all about stamp sets which are both designed and manufactured in India. How wonderful is that!! No more need to worry about price of Dollar and international shipping. Haha...Fun apart, after using the Mudra stamps for 2-3 months during trials I can assure you that this brand hasn't compromised on quality.
In today's post I will be sharing 3 projects featuring 5 stamp sets in total.

Project 1: (Floral Silhouette): As soon as I received this stamp set I could not resist myself from making a card immediately. And can you believe this took less than 30 minutes? Have a look!

The Floral Silhouette set has such beautiful images that you can whip up a beautiful card just by stamping.
But that doesn't mean at all that this set is good only for stamping. And to show how versatile this set is I have made few tags as following:

Here you can see how detailed, crisp and neat these impressions are even with heat embossing. I used the magical combination of kraft, black and white to make these tags. yeah yeah .. I know third tag has a hint of red colour too. :)

Stamp sets used:

Project 2 ( Peony Love and Purely Sentiments): Purely sentiments is one of my personal favourites set from this months release. This set has two main words and lot of supporting sentiments. And you can perform a permutation combination on number of sentiments it can produce. That's huge I mean :)

And the Peony Love what a wonderful outline stamp set with few sentiments.
So I came up with this card

have a closer look as well

Yeah this card involves lots of techniques like stamping, heat embossing, masking, distress ink sponging and die cutting too. I loved it.. What do you say?

Project 3: (Mendhika and Grateful Mini): Mendhika is a set designed by Pon Malar. It has got lot of designing elements which can be used individually or in a group to make beautiful patterns. Here is what I came up with:

I created this pattern just by stamping and masking. I think it turned out good. And did you notice the trendy sentiment? Its Grateful Mini stamp set from Mudra. This sentiment is heat embossed with white embossing powder :)

That's it for today. I hope I have left you excited to try these beautiful stamps on your own. I would love to do a pictorial for any of the above cards in my next post if you want.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Happy Weekend!!
