Hi Friends,
My stamp buddy !
This is Varshitha here. Today have come here, with our Guest Designer of the month, Anu Thakur, a budding crafter. She shared here pretty inspirations with pictorials for us.
Let's hear from her!
Let's hear from her!
Greetings to all crafty people here !
I'm Anu, a Crafter , Stamper , yet to be Scrapbooker but above all I am a Dreamer
and I am Different ! Not going into my education qualifications (p.s. that's not important trust me)
Let me tell you about my Craft Journey - I was into sketching & painting but mainly studying before & then that's one day I fell in love with crafting. You know what was that day?(obviously not). That day was when I for the first time made a ton (yes a ton) of handmade gifts for my best buddy my love ( I don't remember the special occasion) And that happiness on his face after seeing all that stuff was something indescribable & then I decided to continue this. He has been my constant Inspiration since the very beginning. He is the one who made me what I am today(much love & respect) And then finally in 2016 we founded "Handmade Love - Bringing Happiness"(a dream coming true)
Honestly there's much more to tell but let's just pause it here for now & move on to some learning .
Here I brought you 2 cards featuring Mudra craft stamps. And the best thing is that you get the
pictorials for both of them! (yayy)
1. Swing Card
The most important part of this card is its mechanism and guess what that is the only easiest thing to
do in this card style.
Let's get started !
Step 1 : Start with stamping these images from given mudra stamp sets -
furry friends and brushed alphas .
Here I'm using my very new technique that I call "stamp revamp"it simply means modifying a stamp. Here i modified this heart stamp into heart shaped balloons.
And colour them all !
These 3 things are need to be assembled as shown. Use foam tape to give them dimension.
Step 2 : Take a piece of blue cardstock (sky background) measuring 6x4.5 inches & make a slit on the top of the card .
Step 3 : Take a coin and mark the area leaving space for smooth movement. And cover rest of the area with foam tape .
Adhere the cluster of balloons on the coin with foam tape.
Now it's time to tie the dog to the balloons as if he's flying away with it.
Step 4 : Take another base cardstock measuring 6.25x4.75 inches and colour the area which is going to show through the slit.
Step 5 : Now remove the tape backings and stick it on to base card .
Step 6 : Mechanism is all done and its time to decorate rest of the card. Add on all the stuff we stamped and colored previously.
Add the sentiments. I made it as a birthday card for a friend and you know who's that friend? yes its MUDRA itself .
My stamp buddy !
At last adhere the whole thing onto a note card/ greeting card.
and its DONE !
2. Background Stamping
This is a super simple card mainly involving stamping & watercoloring .
Yeah to make this card you gotta be good at both of these .
I used furry friends stamp set from MUDRA.
okay so Let's get started !
Step 1: Stamping the background on cardstock measuring 5.5x4 inches.
It will take you some time you need to figure out the positions of stamps and
create a filled background. Take your time to do it carefully .
Make sure there are no big gaps in between.
Step 2: Use your coloring skills!
I prefer water colors but you can use any medium you work with.
Step 3: Take a black cardstock measuring 5.75x4.25 inches &
adhere the main card onto it .
Step 4: Take a note card/greeting card & adhere the whole piece on it.
At last add your sentiment in the centre of the card .
So that was all from me today."
Thank you Anu, Such Lovely inspirations with pictorials! Hope our viewers have liked as much as we enjoyed your projects!!
Love,
Varshi
