I have an excellent presence with social media and feel this would help Mudra presence with more US based customers. I am dedicated and devoted to my work. "

" I am passionate about crafting and have an eclectic style. I love working with colors and art mediums. I mostly make Mixed Media and Clean & Simple Projects. I enjoy making cards, layouts, tags, canvases and doing art journalling.

Having Fun With Cut3 Dies...

Hi! I hope you have been following all the exciting announcements and the fabulous inspiration on our blog. Today I am back with a second round of inspiration for our January challenge.

Yeah! You can make anything like Cards, Tags, 3D projects, Mixed media , Scrapbook Albums, Layouts, ATCs etc. Just remember that the stamps or stencils or any other products by Mudra Craft Stamps should be the focus.

I decided to take a complete break from my card making supplies and create something different as inspiration. Couple of months ago we released the Cut3 dies. These are really great dies that cut like butter. I pulled out my felt stash and created four hair accessory projects for you. These make great gifts or party favours. I often make them for my daughter's friends.

Project 1:

  • Use the Gardenia Cut3 dies to cut two flowers out of dark and light pink felt.
  • Also cut two leaves from green felt.
  • Hot glue the flowers and leaves together and then add to a light pink hair band.
  • To finish, add a yellow gem stone.

Here is a close up of the bloom.

Project 2:

  • Cut 5 flowers and 10 leaves out of red and green felt with smaller of the CUT3 dies.
  • Hot glue the leaves on the hairband.
  • Add the red flowers.
  • To finish, add turquoise gems to the center of the flowers.

Project 3:

  • Take the Cut3 Slider die and cut 6 pieces of denim with the smaller slider die.
  • Hot glue the pieces to a dark blue hair band.
  • Cut several flowers out of blue gingham fabric. Add a shim for smoother cutting.
  • Stack two flowers and hot glue them where the denim pieces meet.
  • To finish, add a white half pearl.

Here is a close up of the band.

Project 4:

  • Cut several pieces of dark and light green felt with the smaller leaf from the Gardenia Cut3 die set.
  • Start from one end of the hair band and hot glue the leaves alternately, overlapping each a little.
  • To finish, add small white half pearls with hot glue.

Here is a close up of the band.

Card, Tag And Goodbye!!!

Hello friends, this is Kanan and I am here with few new projects.

Let's get started,

First card :-

  • "Botanical Blooms" set is one of my favorite Mudra stamp and now it has the matching die, isn't that cool?
  • I stamped the images and then used the matching die to die-cut it out.
  • On a card panel I inked the background using Distress ink (Salty Ocean) and splattered some drops using some water and also the same ink. Love the effect it gave.
  • Arranged the flowers and leaves on it and added the sentiment from the "Purely Sentiments-Labelled" set.
  • Lastly, added some gems.
  • Love the bright and happy colors.

Second Tag :-

  • Love the new "Cut 3 Gardenia" die set.
  • I die cut few flowers and leaves from patterned papers
  • I created one big flower arranging all the flowers together and giving them some texture.
  • Created a tag using card stock and patterned paper.
  • Arranged the flower and leaves on the tag
  • Added sentiment from the "Purely Sentiments-Labelled"
  • Lastly, added some gems.
  • Love how this tag turned out, the patterned papers looks so gorgeous together.

Hope you will like my cards. If you have any questions or suggestions, please leave a comment.

Also, don't forget to play in our current monthly Mudra Challenge #17 - Anything Goes

Happy Valentine !

Hello friends, Piyanki here with the last post for Mudra. First of all thanks to Varshitha to giving me the opportunity and letting me be a part of Mudra. I must say its a beautiful team to work with and the products are of very high quality and of great designs.

Today I am creating a very simple water color card with the newly launched gardenia dies. I used foam this time to die cut and shape the flowers. Now lets have a look at the card.

To create this card die cut several pieces of the Gardenia set from plain white foam. Using distress ink or Archival ink you can shape the flowers and the leaves. Once colored hold it against a hot press at mild settings you will see the petals curling on its own. Its a natural process and we can choose to either keep it that way or tweezers it all the more to get the desired shape. Pierce the center to fill in the center stamen. To create the background I have used distress oxide and splash of water to create a mild cyan background. Once the background is created place all the leaves and flowers that are shaped. Stamped the sentiment " I love you" with archival black ink on a white card stock and clip with a small wooden clip. Stick the same on the center tucking in to the flower bouquet center. To finish the card add some splashes of white gesso and cyan distress ink.

Tutorial: Accessories using Stamping - Jhumkas & Pendants!!

Varshitha here!!! On this beautiful Monday Morning, We have a versatile and very talented Guest Designer MV Pratyusha today!! Pratyusha is an passionate crafter who uses stamping in an unimaginable way!!! yeah.... rather then me telling her talents, see her , I would like to see what she is up to!!!

My name is Dr M V Pratyusha, from Bangalore. I am a Endodontist by profession and crafter by passion. I have been crafting for a long time but started with Pratvam Progs in 2011. I love to experiment and since then I have tried hands at multiple craft forms.I consider crafting as a stress buster. I love making tutorials.

Basic stamping technique- Jhumkas and Pendants

Materials required:
  • Quilling strips
  • Quilling slotted tool
  • Fevicol
  • Quilling mold
  • Gesso
  • Mudra craft stamps
  • Cardstock
  • Stazon-jet black ink pad
  • Decoupage gloss glue
  • Alcohol inks
  • Earrings findings and beads

Step 1: Making bases: Make a tight coil with 5mm quilling strips 7nos and 10nos for jhumka dome base and pendant base respectively. Apply fevicol to secure the shape of the domes and let it dry for 2 hrs minimum.

Step 2: Gesso the domes made: Gesso here is used as a primer and not to smoothen the dome. If the dome isn’t smooth from the go, it can’t be salvaged with gesso. After application of the gesso let them dry for 20 mins between coats and 2 hrs minimum after 3 coats of gesso.

Step 3: Stamping: Take mudra stamp of your choice and stamp it using a permanent black ink or colored ink on the cardstock. I use stazon jet black ink for this purpose.

Step 4: Fussy cut: Fussy cut the stamped images.

Step 5: Mist and peel: Mist the back surface of the stamped images and dab off the excess water. Peel of the layers of the cardstock to make it thinner.

Step 6: Glue it down: Apply a thin layer of decoupage gloss glue on the dome and place the fussy cut stamped image on the same. Apply another layer of decoupage gloss glue over the stamped images to secure them in place. After adhering all the pieces to cover the base. Apply a thin layer of decoupage gloss glue to seal the whole dome. Let it dry for 4 hrs minimum. Best case scenario do this in the night and continue with the rest of the steps in the morning. Attach the earring findings to the bases.

Step 7: Coloring: Using the coloring medium of your choice, color the images. I used alcohol inks (pendants) and acrylic paints (Jhumka). Leave it for 2 hrs.

Step 8:  Varnish: Use the Varnish of your choice to seal the whole piece and make it dustproof and waterproof. For the ones where I used alcohol inks, I applied a layer of decoupage gloss glue and let it dry for 3-4 hrs and later apply a coat of Asian paints wood varnish and let it alone in a well-ventilated area for a day.

Thankyou for this opportunity :) Its an honor to be able to be associated with a Indian craft brand :)

I am sure you will want to try this awesome technique!!! Get Stamping and Make your own Jhumkas, Pendants and Flaunt it!!

Participate in our monthly challenge “Anything Goes” You can even add these jewellery projects with stamping in the challenge.
