Christmas Cheers

Hi Crafty Peeps,

This is Sathya from Paperie Expressions, bringing you some Christmas Inspirations. Many parts of the world are gearing up for Christmas and what better way to bring in some cheer here at our Mudra blog for our viewers...Its always Mudra products and ideas of using it creatively!!

Today's post is all about super simple ways of creating Cards and Tags for this Festive season, using Mudra's last year launch of Christmas stamps. Its still favorite among our DT members and i hope its the same for you too.

First card : Vellum Overlay card

  • Took a A2 sized white cardbase.
  • Did some alcohol ink background on Glossy Cardstock using blue, green alcohol inks with Alcohol Blending solution.
  • Diecut it for an added interest.
  • Added this to the cardbase.
  • Added a vellum on top of the focal panel, which is silver heat embossed with Christmas sentiments. Love how the vibrant Bg seemed so subtle through the vellum!
  • Thus, whipped up my first card.

Second card : Heat Resistant Acetate card

  • Took an A2 sized ivory cardbase.
  • Added a diecut handmade red cardstock to the centre.
  • To which added Green glitter sheets which are diecut using square dies.
  • Decorative pennant stamps are always seemed to be Xmas trees for me, so chosen 3 from it, Gold heat embossed on Heat resistant acetate sheets, Diecut using Square dies, matted on to the Square glitter sheets.
  • Added a bit of glittery gold wash bits as tree trunks.
  • Foam mounted these to the red focal panel.
  • Gold heat embossed the sentiment from the Christmas stampset.

Third card : Alcohol Background & Gold Embossing

  • Took a light beige A2 sized cardbase.
  • Took a glossy cardstock and with Alcohol inks in the colors of greens and red made a Background.
  • To this festive colored bg, Gold heat embossed the whimsical christmas tree and sentiment.
  • Thus this simple and yet striking card is ready.
Fourth Project: Kraft Colored Tag

  • Took a Standard Tag in Kraft cardstock.
  • Stamped penguin using Black ink and Pencil colored it.
  • Went ahead and made some background scene to pep up the simple tag.
  • Stamped the sentiment on top to finish it off with some satin ribbon. baker's twine and some bells.
Fifth Project: Mixedmedia Tags

First MM Tag:

  • Using Stitched circle dies, took diecuts from Xmas themed designer cardstocks and stacked as shown.
  • Added Prima light paste to mimic some snow on the edges of the largest diecut.
  • Colored the jingle bells, fussy cut it and added as focal to the smallest diecut with some cheesecloth and artstones.
  • A glittered snowflake chipboard added with the Christmas sentiment to finish off the tag.
  • Satin ribbon, Baker's twin and some bells are added.
Second MM Tag:

  • Diecut 3 varied sizes diecuts using Stitched circle dies from Xmas theme designer cardstocks.
  • Stacked as shown in the pic.
  • To the largest diecut, added light paste and to which white sparkly glitters added.
  • White heat embossed snowflakes randomly on the next diecut layer and randomly stamped using script stamp to create bg.
  • Tucked a cheesecloth under the red diecut, few artstones using gel medium and randomly applied light paste on edges to mimic snow.
  • Goldheat embossed reindeer on vellum, fussycut it and mounted using foam adhesives.
  • Few white chunky embossing glitters and flakes are added randomly on cheesecloth.
  • Sentiment are stamped and added as strips near the focal element to finish off.
  • Satin ribbon, Baker's twine and bells are added finally.
This wraps up my post!
