Hi Friends,

Its a great pleasure to welcome here today, my favorite artist/crafter Pooja from Reusing and Quilling as Mudra Guest Designer :)

She needs no introduction in Blogland, as her creations speaks loads of the Innate artistic talent this crafter has in her. Am super happy to welcome here to showcase her talent. As always, she has blown me away with her projects. Keep Rocking, Pooja!!

Over to Pooja :)

"Hello Friends!!

Pooja here (From Reusing ,card and Quilling ) I am very excited to be Guest Designing for Mudra Stamp Designs. Can you imagine my surprise when Varshitha offered me this opportunity? Like all of us, I am also a Big fan of Mudra stamp designs and never thought I would Guest design for its blog.
When I received the stamps I instantly fell for them start from the packaging to high quality material and When you see "Made in India" written on it Makes you feel proud! Enjoyed working with Mudra Stamps, each one is so thoughtfully designed brings outs the Best in a card maker /crafter. I will share my experience of using stamps as I share my cards.

Card :1

Let’s start with “Dream catcher”. The theme and words in the set are so encouraging and what I loved most was the number of small n medium size stamps, solid n outlined feathers, dot, hexagons, circle which can be used separately in number of ways as well as combined together. First thing that came to my mind after seeing this set was watercolors!! This stamp set works fantastic with all types of inks I used it with DIs,pigment ink, Archival ink and every time got a sharp n detailed image.

It is very Quick and easy card.
  •  I followed the technique shared by Jennifer McGuire. First the image is stamped with distress inks, then spray generous amount of water over it allowing the inks to bleed and after drying stamp once again to get a clear image.
  • I stamped the dream catcher and feathers on Brusto Watercolor paper with DIs and later stamped with Memento inks.
  •  Stamped the doily design with light blue ink and then stamped the words on it with black dye ink.
  •  The central portion of dream catcher is cut out and adhered directly to the card base while the remaining portion is adhered with foam tape.
Card: 2

I loved this set some that could not stop at one card. Created one more with my favorite technique Faux-Chalkboard.

  •            Started with a panel of black cardstock and roughly marked the areas where I wanted the stamps to be.
  •            Next I stamped the images with white pigment ink and then heat embossed them with white embossing   powder.
  •       Then I used white color pencil to fill in the details and created Chalkboard look. Colored in some feathers.
  •      For the bg I used a stencil and color-pens to draw the lines in rainbow colors and adhered the black panel over it.
Card : 3

Next stamp set I worked with is Dainty blooms, the flowers in this set are prettiest! There are so many delicate details in this stamp and It’s Deep Etching ensures that even the thinnest line is stamped clearly, I used juicy white pigment ink and you can see the details clearly on the flowers.

  • I stamped the flower bunch on water color paper with white pigment ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.
  • Colored the flowers n leaves with mix of traditional water colors n DIs. Applied a bit of LSG magical for some shine.
  • I cut out a window in a dry embossed panel and foam mounted it on card base. Arranged fussy cut blooms n leaves adhered some with foam tape.
  • Stamped selective parts of the sentiment on vellum and adhered it to the card base and glued vellum butterflies.
Card :4

You can never have enough of floral cards can we? You guessed it right.  One more card with dainty blooms I combined it with Special Birthday set.

  • Did no line coloring for this card .Stamped the dainty blooms on watercolor paper with peacock feathers Distress ink and used the same for coloring along with mustard seeds n salty oceans for leaves.
  • Stamped the Special Birthday sentiment with black Archival ink on smooth cardstock and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. You can see how clearly the fine lines in Birthday are visible even after heat embossing! Speak of Quality and clarity.
  • Layered colored card stock and a die-cut lattice on card base. Adhered the sentiment label with foam tape.
  •  Arranged the fussy cut blooms and adhered some with foam tape to create a floral spray. Glued a small butterfly and finished off the card.
Card :5

I have used different technique for each card and for the last one I did Heat embossing on vellum.

  • Heat embossed the special Birthday sentiment on vellum using white embossing powder.
  • Used a lightly textured card base and loosely painted strips with watercolor. Made splatters with black paint.
  • Then layered a pp and colored cardstock below the vellum piece and attached them with a wooden clothespin.
  • Embellished the card with glittered stars and few gem stones.
Last but not least thing about the stamp is They don’t stain much even with pigment inks .If you are quick enough to clean them then the stamps are good as new!

This Brings to the end of my Guest Post. Hope I haven’t disappointed you all. A BIG THANK YOU to Varshitha and Creative team for giving me chance to share my cards on Mudra Blog!”
