It's all about blooms!

Hi All,

It's Priya again from priya-n-papers! Did you check out the May release? It's all about blooms! Such pretty florals stamps to make stunning and elegant cards. Today I am sharing a couple of cards using Mudra Botanical Blooms and Linen Blooms.

Stamp Highlight : Botanical Blooms :

Card 1 : Garden scene :
When I first saw the stamp set, I already imagined the scenes that I will make using the stamp set. It's a 3 layer stamp set with lots of possibilities. I first wanted to make a one layer card but then I spoiled the bottom of the card. So I gave it a nice cut at the bottom. ;)

Procedure :
1. Mask the edges with washi tape. This will give you a clean border for the card.
2. Stamp the floral images as per your choice to give it a garden effect.
3. For layering, I used 3 inks from same color family. I picked Purple, Brown and Green.
3. Distress the edges lightly with some distress ink to create border line. I picked Shaded Lilac distress inks.
4. Adhere the panel to the card base. If you want you can give a shape to jazz up the card.

Card 2 (Set) : Pastels Roses

I was trying the layering on scrap pieces of cardstock. See the close up of layered stamps. How perfect isn't it? A perfect shaded bloom in just 3 steps! For the card set, I fussy cut these images. Believe me, these images are very easy to fussy cut.
I fussy cut all images and made 2 similar cards in pastel shades.

Procedure :
1. Take 2 panels of cardstock and emboss it using an embossing folder. This is called dry embossing.
2. Take 2 nested dies and cut 2 circle frames, one for each card.
3. Cut 2 circles from vellum. I used blue and pink color vellum. This is where our sentiment will go.
4. Adhere the circle vellum to the back of the circle frames we created in step 2. You can also fussy cut the vellum once it's on to the frame to skip step 3.
5. I used white embossing powder on both frames to heat emboss the sentiment.
6. Just layout your fussy cut florals as per your liking. Like I did in the cards above.

Stamp Used : Botanical Blooms :

Stamp Highlight : Linen Blooms
Love love this stamp set. Yet again a very versatile stamp set. You can make your own pattern paper or you can stamp and fussy cut the images and add it to your projects which ever way you prefer. I love the fact that it has solid as well as outlined images which unleashes the possibilities you can achieve.

Card sets  : 2 into 4 cards

Procedure :
1. Stamp the images as per your choice onto the cardstock panels.
2. Die cut the panels using dies of your choice. I picked nested rectangle and curved border dies. Here is the result of these 2 steps.
3. Use different pieces of diecuts to make different layout for the cards. Like I did above.
4. Stamp the outlined images and adhere it onto the cards for an added layer.
