Happy day!! PonMalar here today with 3 cards made using 2 stamp sets from the May release of Mudra stamps.
Card 1
- I used the layered floral stamps from Botanical blooms stamp set to stamp the flowers using distress inks in shades of blue. Distress inks don't give a crisp stamping & that was what I was after.
- Then used my TCW stencil & sponged around the flowers to create some background text.
- Then sponged blue & vintage photo distress ink all around to create a border.
- On the main blue card base, I smooched the vintage photo ink pad directly at angles to create a grungy background & then adhered my front panel to finish my card.
Card 2
- Decided to create a card with layers using the layered blooms.
- Stamped the flowers & leaves from Botanical blooms set using distress inks in shades of purple & green respectively.
- I lightly sponged the edges with vintage photo distress ink to create a slight vintage look. (Couldn't capture that in the photos!!)
- Then fussy cut those flowers & leaves and kept them aside.
- Tore a piece of kraft card stock & sponged the edges with vintage photo distress ink. Heat embossed the sentiment using brown pigment ink.
- Used a kraft card stock for my main panel & sponged the edges with vintage photo distress ink. Also added few splatters of the same to create some interest to the background.
- Finally adhered the flowers & the sentiment using double sided adhesive & foam tapes.
Card 3
- A CAS Retirement card using an element I designed, yay.
- I cut out masks for the ground from a scrap card stock & used green distress inks to create a landscape.
- Used the same technique to sponge the sun using yellow, orange & red distress ink.
- Heat embossed the beach chair in black & fussy cut it & pasted it on the front panel using a strong liquid glue.
- Finally stamped the sentiment in black archival ink to finish my card.
