"Hello friends,
Few days back Varshitha sent me these stamp sets. And I was really excited to use them as
these are designed and made in India. Today, I am sharing my experience working with them.
The quality of stamps are really good. It takes up ink really well. The designs are crisp, which shows they are designed in-house by very talented artists and not made from scanned or downloaded images. Which is I feel very important part of any product design - originality! All the images in a set are put together very thoughtfully. For example, the butterfly set - it has nice combination of solid and intricate butterflies in many different sizes. This gives you more options to create different looks with the same set. It also has varied sentiments, which goes well with the images.
The most impressive feature is its etching. They are very deeply etched so you will never end up getting inks on negative spaces and will get crisp consistent images all the time.
Many of the stamps have svg cut files, which is a brilliant addition to their product range.
Let's start with the cards now:
The design is inspired by the sentiment. It emphasizes on change. As they says "Change is the only constant thing" ...so my butterfly (which is the result of many beautiful changes) is also changing . I stamped butterfly with versafine black ink with a little masking, so it wont stamp little part of wing. I colored it with tombow markers. I punched out few butterflies with Martha Stewart punch from colored papers and adhere them on the right side wing.
Sentiment is stamped with versafine and added some splatter of similar colors as in butterfly. I also stamped tiny butterflies in various matching inks around sentiment. If you can see those thin flourishes in sentiment are also stamped very evenly which shows how good the stamps are.
For the second card, I have used other images from the same stamp set.
I have embossed various butterflies in white and colored it in peerless watercolors. I also embossed sentiment in white on black cs. The stamps embossed beautifully to the tiniest detail....love..love...love...it.
For above card and tag, I have used this beautiful set designed by Rhizwana Fathima, very talented artist and CT member of Mudra. I love the fairy tale look of the house. I decided to make it look like picture frame, so I watercolored the images and added stacked white frames to define the scene. For the sentiment "home", I have used their alphabet set. For Tag, I colored 2 birdies with copic and made sentiment using same alphabet set. There are various sentiments are in the set, which can be used for different occasions.
For the last cards, i have used 2 sets. Alphabets and this birthday sentiment. Alphabet is one of my favorite stamp set. Th fonts are clean and straight, which I feel is important while aligning letters. All the letters are on a rectangular base, so its easy to align them to make sentiment.
All the letters are in multiples, so its super easy to make your own phrase and stamp it in one go.
All the letters are in multiples, so its super easy to make your own phrase and stamp it in one go. See how easy it is, to align and create so many words at a time. I am going to use this set a lot, as i love to make my own sentiments.
For the card, I made the backdrop for the main sentiment by stamping various words in different inks. Main sentiment is embossed in black and colored with watercolor.
I am really impressed with the quality of Mudra stamps and i wish them all the very best for the future. They are thoughtfully designed and pocket friendly too. I am waiting eagerly for their next release. Thank you so much, Varshitha for giving me this opportunity to review these beautiful products.
That is all for now. Thanks for being with me here. "
