"Hi my dear friends !!
I feel so excited and happy to be here, writing my first ever DT blogpost :)
Mudra, the first Indian craft stamp company, is very special to me & close to my heart always.. Having designed my first ever stamp set & watching the whole process, it feels amazing. The stamps are of super high quality & they stamp ever so crisp & clean. I can't ask for anything more :) But then, being a part of this talented bunch of crafty team is like having double scoops of ice cream and am totally loving it :D
Thank you so much for the chance Varshitha & everyone of my teamies for the love & support..Most of all, I would like to thank each one of you wonderful people, who showered me with so much encouragement & love, because of which I had the zeal to take this big step :)
Awww I can feel so much gratitude in the air right now, why not begin by a thanks giving card?! Yup, let's get straight on to it..!
For my first project, I used this gorgeous looking Grateful stampset.
I tried a totally new technique as soon as i saw this image. Am gonna call it "Faux foiling" ;) Here's the card.
I finished off by adding few sequins. I also did another card using the same technique but with a dual color scheme (gold & silver)
This is one technique which will be effective mainly with hollow stamps. So what are you waiting for? Grab yours, join the trend & do try this fun technique for yourself :)
My next project is a tag with the stamp set I have designed, "Home is"
I cut a 2.5" ×3.5" tag out of CS, sponged in Distress inks for the sky (salty ocean, chipped sapphire) after masking a portion for the ground, which i then colored with mustard seed, spiced marmalade & fired brick DI. I used a damp baby wipe to clear off some areas of the sky for clouds.
The home image is stamped separately, colored with copic markers & then fussy cut.Adhered the image to the bg such that it hangs off the edge & trimmed off the excess.
Stamped the hearts & sentiment with memento tuxedo black ink. Now for a quick tip, I really didn't wanna do masking for those teeny tiny hearts & most of all, I didn't plan the layout earlier. So i had to color over the DIs. You could use gesso to create the base. But here I used uniball signo white gel pen to fill in the hearts. It also gives a nice texture. Make sure it is totally dry before you color over it or it might ruin your marker tips.
I then applied wink of stella clear glitter & glossy accents over the hearts. I have used the same little hearts to create the flowers in front of the home for added interest.
(Always make the most out of your stamps.!!) Finally added the eyelet & a matching ribbon & it's done.
Stampset used:
My final project is a super quick & easy CAS card using the cute birds from the Home is stampset & this awww so beautiful, Purely Sentiments-Brushed stampset.
Stamped the images with memento tuxedo black ink & colored with sketch pens (yes, you heard it right :D)
Added wink of stella clear glitter over them (The shimmer is super cool in real life!!) & some highlights with uniball signo white gel pen.. Trust me It took less then 10 mins for the whole process.!
Stampsets used:

You can mix & match all of these beautiful stampsets & come up with something totally unique. I really wish you will give it a try & please don't forget to share your works with us. We would love to see them all.!
Hope you liked my projects & found this post useful. Watch out this space for more inspirations & surprises.!
Thank u once again. C ya soon.
Until then,
Create. Have fun.”

For my first project, I used this gorgeous looking Grateful stampset.
I tried a totally new technique as soon as i saw this image. Am gonna call it "Faux foiling" ;) Here's the card.
Faber Castell gelatos are creamy pigment rich sticks which blend very smoothly & give a vibrant finish. They are great to make BGs in a giffy. I just scribbled the "metallic" rainbow colors & blended with a damp baby wipe.
(Metallic colors are the key here. You can use acrylic colors or any other inks of your choice.)
After it dried completely, I Stamped the sentiment with memento tuxedo black ink. ("For you" is from the Purely sentiments-Brushed stampset)
Now for the fun part, i gave a wash of gesso around the sentiment with a size 0 brush which makes the surrounding area to have a matte finish & the sentiment looks like it has been foiled.!! Here's a better view..
I finished off by adding few sequins. I also did another card using the same technique but with a dual color scheme (gold & silver)
